Agreed, its like Bill Simmons has been saying...you don't 'pay' ZBO. You give him short contracts.

LOL, good. You keep believing he's changed. And I'll remain skeptical about ole ZBo.

All the same, I'd like to see the Grizz win. They did play a good game today and played well down the stretch this season. I'd like to see them run Mayo at the point with Allen and Battier on the wings. I think Conley holds them back and they would be even better with Mayo at the point. However, the combo of Battier Allen on the wings is big time perimeter defense. Mayo Allen Battier on the perimeter will drive a lot of teams nuts. They're good.

It's unfortunate it won't last. They'll be fighting amongst themselves in a few months with all the big money being thrown around. Wallace has to be betting on a new CBA substantially lowering salaries and helping his club become profitable and competitive. Otherwise, I see no way that they can financially support these big deals, especially after the Gasol deal goes down.

I was holding my breath for them being stingy. I guess after all the turns of events they will gladly pay Gasol and not be stupid, they have a good cap situation although they're locked up after this year. Because of this, I think they are a Gay taking it up a notch away from championship contention.

My prediction: Zbo returns to his underperforming self next year. He is the ultimate definition of contract year performance increase.

Memphis just funded ZBo's hydroponics garden.

There is no logic involved. It's pretty sad really. Zbo will lead us to the championship. Maybe even this year. Our team plays hard.

Aside from their Conley-Gay-Randolph core, they don't have any real salaries. Like I said, Danny Ainge is a complete and total moron for not giving Tony Allen that much because he was planning on counting on Marquis Daniels. Just like he dumped Perkins because he was planning on counting on Shaq.

But what, uh, pardon me if I'm not quaking my boots in fear of the potential Grizzlies dynasty. Seriously, dude, it's ridiculous.

That seems to leave about 15+M to re-sign Marc with -- plenty of money.

That's because you don't watch the grizzlies and you don't "like" our players. But like I said it doesn't matter, because the grizzlies without one of our top players and our best creators on offense is down and we still took it to a team that only lost 5 games at home all year to school, while the nba darlings, the thunder, are doing their version of showtime and no defense and yet they are NEXT. Give me a break, the grizzlies aren't scared of the thunder. Believe that.

I guess they like the mediocrity windmill, giving max money to 30 year olds who aren't even top 5 at their position lol.

I have a strong suspicion they're going to regret that... Randolph is the type of guy who I bet is going to get fat(ter) and lazy now that he got paid. It's debatable whether he's worth that kind of money, anyways.

Yeah, I'd take Durant over Gay and Westbrook over Conley.

But you should focus on the Spurs, there are 6 games left and winning game one will mean nothing if the Spurs win the next two.

jopa- how do u figure conley is holding them back? Conley will never live up to his draft status, but neither did bibby or billups, but they were very good players. Conley is a good player and good for that team.

As a whole, there are dummies who say he isnt top 5 at his position when he's the best post player in the game offensively. He's one of the best rebounders in the game. Despite losing Gay who was having a career yr, he willed them to the playoffs. Once they stop trying to get thabeet gametime and just played arthur off the bench, they took off.

Hey, I didn't even call him out on that. But from that one comment alone that OJ should run the point, I realized who I was dealing with and I adjusted accordingly. That comment proved he has no clue about our team.
