i like when they pointed out ariza was 2-12 and jvg said that's because ariza was having to do things he wasn't comfortable with. i'm pretty sure that just means shooting the ball. new orleans needs to try to not commit a block on kobe every single possession. make him shoot jumpers. and paul on that pass to gray blew by gasol so damn fast.
lets all pretend that your unbias towards Chris Paul .. But youre right he's playing against one of the worst starting defensive PG in the league .. which is defentily helping
I still cringe when Ariza tries to create on the dribble (which he has been doing a lot) and then I remember he's not on the Rockets anymore.
"playing good" is discrediting his play. he's playing at a superstar level right now. so i guess paul has to choose who can guard him right? that's how we judge players' performances right?
he's dominating his matchup. but now that he's destroying fisher he's the best pg in the league all of a sudden?
i'm with jvg, i'm not sure i can remember a perimeter player airballing a free throw. bruce bowen probably did it at some point but i didn't see it. 7-16 with chris paul even missing free throws. come on NO.
i always consider him the best PG in the L; i never swayed from that. i don't judge PG by how many points they score (but he's the most efficient PG in the L scoring-wise anyways this season), but how many assists they rack up and how his teammates are playing. outside of ariza, the hornets players are playing way above their heads b/c primarily of chris paul.
Am I the only one who sees two very serviceable big men for the Hornets? In general I really like Morey but it's a shame he has not address our center situation. He tried once with Hill and I don't really count Thabeet b/c he's such a huge project. He better get a nice one in the second round this year, if not the first round if the value is there.
