I would be happier if the Rockets had a fat turd instead of Les. He disappoints me

No, I am not satisfied with the way he has run the franchise, I think he has run it as a business, and he is free to do that, but I would rather have someone that burns to win and puts their money where their mouth is, rather than someone who says they burn to win and then tries like mad to get under the lux taxline.

Granted, they have spent money on draft picks, but don't be fooled, these last 4 years where TMac and Yao were hurt, were probably the most profitable in Rockets history due to the enormouse insurance payments which go right to the bottom line.

Not to mention their refusal to deal with the Yao situation, because Les has other business ties with China due to Yao being on his team.

So, no, I am not satisfied, I understand why he does it, but I am not fooled by the PR machine either.

But totally dissatisfied? There are worse owners, but like his team OUR TEAM, he's a middle-of-the-road caretaker of the Rox.

The Adelman situation is quite mindboggling...

Still he's a better owner than either Drayton Mclane or Bud Adams.

No. Les needs to stop using coupons to aquire his players. Great players don't come with discounts.

So Les makes a great hire in Morey because he saves him dough by getting "hidden" talented players on the low.

Morey finds them "hidden" talent and signs them on the low then try to swap them on the high. LOL

That is some shady philosophy to go by. I guess you can say it works for a business stand point. But that's NOT going to get you anywhere near a LOB.

To make it worse, they announce this plan very public. Can we say unhappy players?

It get's to a point now that when you're a houston rockets fan, you know that a trade is happening because its being pushed to you all season long. Trade just for the sakes of a trade. There is no such thing as staying pat.

Make staying pat an option, and you have happier players.

Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but in today's NBA, I'm happy with Les. I sure prefer Les to Donald Sterling or the Maloofs or any of the NBA owners cutting every corner and trying to sell because the economy is bad.

I know that the Rockets don't have near the financial issues that many teams in the league do and you have to look at that on a case by case basis, but I'm just glad that Les isn't forcing Morey to keep the payroll around 50% of the cap just because he doesn't want to lose money. Maybe Les is cutting a corner here or there to save a few bucks, but there are several teams that have worse.

Well guys, I'm going to go cheer for Shane Battier and the Grizzlies because even that owner is more competent than what the current one has shown. I'm sorry but success starts at the top and sticking with Yao Ming was a money decision all the way. What do you expect him to do? Not take all that China money? The last two seasons have been utterly disheartening to a long time fan and I'm really sick of watching that creepy laugh old guy embarrass my hometown.

    Maybe no. Adelman.

I am kind of on the fence. I think overall he's okay. But I hate the way he treats coaches. His biggest flaw is the lack of patience and too meddling. In general, I think owners should be hands off of the operation. Get a good GM and let the guy have free reign to build the team. Fire the guy if he's doing a bad job.

    HELL no.

Dissing and ditching three great coaches (every coach he's had), who each coached their teams above the talent they had to work with.

What kind of idiot looks at this last year (or the years that Rudy and JVG were kicked to the curb without so much as a thank you) and says it's the coaching that needs to change to win more games?

Adelman is the number one, most valuable asset this team has. So let's fire him!

I'm not a fair weather fan. I've been a Rockets fan since I was five years old. That's over three decades. I've watched pretty much every game since the first championship run.

I'm just about done rooting for a team with an owner that keeps firing great coaches for over-performing and, adding insult to injury, treats them badly in the process.

    **** Les. I've had enough.

If he keeps the team the way it is( coach and players ) and tries to add to it, yes. If he doesn't, no.

I've repped you but I'll go ahead and chime in. I mean if Rudy Tomjanovich is still scouting for the Lakers and not working for the Rockets 6 years after he was probably forced out of coaching by the Lakers, you should know there's something wrong with the way you are doing things. How is Rudy T not involved with this organization right now? And people still think he "resigned"?

No, he is a cheap, angry (except once a decade when he LOL like a hyena) rich man that basically needs to sell this team imo.

Agreed. Les needs to sell the team to someone who cares more about winning than saving money for their own ass. The guy is a constipated old coot.

Agree about Les. But Morey has done everything he could. He made enough good drafts and trades to make Rockets a Championship caliber team had both Tmac and Yao kept healthy.

But no matter how good a GM is, he can't beat basketball Gods. There is simply no NBA team can still be a contender after losing top 2 players for basically nothing. You are setting unrealistic goal for Morey.
