think i'll take the plunge and buy it then. they can always add online play in an update, i'd hope they'd do that
madden 11 is on sale this weekend in the app store, is it worth a purchase on the iphone? i'm reading mixed reviews
anyone have or played the games: minigore, pocket god? those two seem to be a bit old, but just now hearing about them. they worth a purchase?
I have Pocket God, and in all honesty, it's not worth the money. I very rarely play it, and it's not even that entertaining, IMO. Angry Birds, Osmos, Doodle Jump, Backbreaker, and Fruit Ninja are my favorites.
I just bought NBA Jam, and it's without a doubt worth $5. It's very similar to the old 90's version, as you can select from a handful of players on each team (they include older players, as well). I ran with the Heat in my first game for obvious reasons, and dropped 45 with Bron and shattered a backboard. They have an array of dunks, double alley-oops, etc., and there are unlockables. The legendary players on the Heat were Rony Seikaly and Glen Rice, and Bosh was also an option. Houston has Martin, Yao, Ariza, Olajuwon, and Kenny Smith. The Thunder and Magic are also unstoppable - Durant + Westbrook and Howard + Richardson.
My3G(trick your 3G into thinking it's on wifi, MyWi(internet tethering), Backgrounder and Multifl0w(true multitasking and a great interface).
That's a shame, because it's arguably the best game on the market right now. I run it on my iPad, and it's incredibly entertaining. "Big head" mode is a must, as they actually have the real faces of the various players, rather than a half-ass attempt to graphically re-create players' faces. The facial expressions change after dunks/big plays... they really put some time in to this game.
Can anybody recommend a good password storage app? With work, personal, school, etc. it is becoming a pain to remember user names and passwords.
Hey bobrek, I am looking for an iPad app which can act as a whiteboard/dryerase board. Something I can draw on (or in my case, write stuff which includes symbols). Preferably something which records what I draw and gives me the ability to play it back (maybe some video form which I can save on my PC). I am too cheap to buy an actual white board and feel that the ability to save things might be superior (taking an advanced level math class which requires alot of studying and I am tired of using too much paper). I realize this would be easier on a tablet which has a stylus but too cheap for that as well (sooo guess I can use my finger on my grandpa's iPad). Do you know of anything like this?
I think I know what you are talking about and such an app exists. I'll get back to you later. I don't have my iPad with me now.
Went to download this from the app store and it was listed as $9.99 and then when I was going through the process it was upped to $14.99. What is the usual price of this app?
Check out Whiteboard Lite. Also go into the App store via iTunes and enter "draw" as a search word. You'll get a lot of stuff back, but pay attention to productivity apps. Looks like there are some lite versions to try for free.
There is a $9.99 version and a $14.99 Pro version. The Pro version allows you to share between iPad, iPod and iPhone. If there is a problem with the order process, contact the developer via his web site.
Some apps I have recently tried that I'd recommend: Microsoft Photosynth http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photosynth/id430065256?mt=8 Very nice 'panorama' photo taking app. It's got a very cool UI, and the app will automatically line up and snap the photos for you as you slowly move across the landscape. It saves it directly to the photo/camera roll and it has some sharing options for posting to Facebook and such. Fun to play with. Spoiler Spoiler Tour Wrist http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tour-wrist/id335671384?mt=8 Kinda related to the one above, this one lets you view high resolution panorama photos from spots around the world. What's cool about it is it uses the phone as a 'window' to the photo, meaning it moves around the photo as you move the phone. Cool little idea, works great. Works with iPhone and iPad. Youtube video can probably do a better job explaining it: Spoiler <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/CteZaikFFh4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Crackle http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crackle/id377951542?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo=4# I can actually watch Seinfeld streaming on my phone now. lol New video streaming app, this one apparently from Sony. Has some older full length movies and also TV shows. So far everything appears to be free. The interface is really slick and I've only tried it over wifi but the quality was excellent. Also iPhone and iPad. Spoiler Spoiler
