They do have beautiful winters. Perfect temps....lots of sun. (occasional rain).

But ya, Saudi gets an insane amount of visitors every year.

Is this just in their culters??

Throughout history and thousands of years the elite in these cultures seem to always try to 'out do' their comrades with building of feat. Such as their tombs and the pyramids ect...

So is this just inbred into their minds? It's an ancient way of thought they need to get with the times.

Mile High? Don't they use the metric system?

Is the desire to brag stronger in that region?

I'd say that it is. They're trying to build this so people think they are a sophisticated society.

Construct a world cup winning team and I'll be impressed.

This only shows how stupid they really are.

I was banking on most people not being sophisticated enough to be able to tell the difference. (or not caring) :) I know people who think that people from India are Arabs.

When in doubt, go with the hilarious joke in lieu of historical accuracy.

Word. To be fair, if they wouldn't have lost the ability to understand each other, no one would have ever went to Saudi Arabia until they found out oil was worth something. So maybe they are the same people.

That's more ridiculous than the itchy and scratchy episode 36, scene 7, in which itchy is playing the piano and proceeds to strike the same key two successive times yet produces 2 distinct notes.
