LOL Jimmer a massive upgrade over Kyle Lowry? Get real, maybe in 3-4 years they can surpass Lowry but right now Lowry will eat them alive.

I got a huge mancrush on Biyombo. Too bad he's likely out of our range now... I'd love Nikola Mirotic as well.

Mirotic, One of the Morris Twins, Jordan Hamilton, and Terrence Jones are the guys I am hoping are still there. Hamilton may be too dumb for Morey. Jones may not be efficient enough for Morey's likings, but has athleticism to develop. One of the Morris twins may be the best available.

There are always good players left .... often times its those in the middle and end of the round that turn out to be the superstars - The Mailman and Pastey are two prime examples. I hate them both !!! ..... and there are a host of others.

    {////////> Utah.

That said - the Rockets dont have the roster space nor cap room to add three players to the roster without making significant changes - Yao & hayes renounced .... or a trade to move significant money.
I think its highly likely that they make a serious effort to move up or move those picks for future picks to make a run at one of the 2012 FA's.

um ...this is just complete nonsense. do you honestly believe either of the two is better than lowry or martin? Hell, is either of the two better than Lee or Dragic?

We don't need to draft a guard. we need a small forward or a center.

I wonder which of the Morris's goes first. Marcus has a complete game, but Markieff rebounds better.

Lets get both, then we can maybe cross-dress them to confuse opponents.

I expect the Rockets try very hard to consolidate talent this season. If the bpa is a guard, I expect the Rockets draft a guard. Not a huge fans of those two players as I see them as good bench player potential.

This draft reminds me of the 2002 Kwame Brown where the draft was weak but not this bad and the Rockets had multiple picks (3 in the first round) and they traded it all for Eddie Griffin. Lets hope history don't repeat itself. Since we have the 14th, 23rd and 38th pick. After the top 5 its really a crab shoot.

I chose Markieff because of his rebounding.

My concern was that Kenneth Faried would move up as more people scouted him. I could see him going higher than 14th in this weak draft. I would be happy if the Rockets pick Faried at 14. If they can't get him as of today I like josh shelby as a consolation prize.

IMO, at 14th in a weak draft, Morey needs to draft BPA in terms of upside, position be damned. I don't even care if said player is a guard or PF. I want the BPA. Nobody on the current roster's untouchable. And if said player develops, we can always move someone to make rotation room. This is especially true if Adelman's out and a new guy's in.

    WTF?

I think Jimmer's going to have an NBA career similar to JJ Reddick.

    In other words, no thanks.

You are right about the way this draft looks on the surface .... too bad we sent Richard Jefferson , Brandon Armstrong and Jason Collins to NJ for "The Masterbaiter".

<Its called a Crap Shoot , like rolling the dice> not a Crab shoot.

yeah, that's what they said last year...and the OP is too high on Fredette. I think its too early to have any idea how it will go down. Even on draft night it may be difficult to figure out.

I think they have to move up and take one of the legit bigs who are all projected to go in the top 10 or so at this time , Jan Vesely , Donatas Motiejunas , Enes Kanter or Jonas Valanciunas. In no particular order.[/QUOTE]

Exactly, but in my opinion Enes, or Valanciunas.

Terrence Jones. I am pretty sure he won't drop to 14. But if we do manage to trade up, we should either pick terrence or Enes kanter.

terrence jones is compared to lamar odom. 6'9 sf. plays decent defense. 3pt range. one of the best prospects in the draft. And then of course the unproven Enes Kanter. But it is like they say, you can teach height.
