I'm getting like empathy pains from hearing you guys talk about your backs. I had a brief experience with back pain, and that was more than enough. I feel for you guys. Yeah, some did. Though the debate with cell phones seem to be about screen size, 'width', I guess.
I haven't had surgery but I have a crappy mattress that makes my back hurt and a pinched nerve between my shoulder blades that it agravates all the time... And my wife still won't buy me an iPad 2 for my birthday which is this Thursday. Give her a call on my behalf Deckard and tell her I need one (and to get herself a new matteress while she's out)
I have no idea. I have never tried it. Depends on the person. If I am sitting up in bed, I imagine the iPad would be propped against my legs and the keyboard would be by my stomach.
No ones pissed off at all except you and the herd of other apple nut lickers. Say anything negative about apple and watch the fires of hell rain down upon you. I merely pointed out facts. Like...um I don't know lets try a new one. For those who say its because Apples is lightest, thinnest.... Not true. Can't build in hdmi and have thin, not true. Its just apples peoples mentality. I perfectly predicted all the apple peoples responses before it all happened. They will start ganging up, mentioning how many non apple items they own, use interface as a reason. Apple invented the touchscreen, web browser, and the internet yo! Funny you use me as a symbal of apple haters. I merely have to point out the realist response. "All my apple products makes the ladies wet" to show you exactly what makes apple people so r****ded and douchy. Feel free to bag on his comments. Who's mad?
haha, I'd have to say a new mattress takes precedence there. That's what you want for your birthday. That's exactly the issue I ended up having. Replacing it will work wonders....and then you can enjoy laying on it with a new tablet.
Sounds like it's you. I have no dog in this fight, I just wanted you to react with the same redundant 133t crap you've been spewing before. Like clockwork.
LOL! Heck, go with the new mattress. It can make a world of difference. Not a "cure all," but it helped and I sleep better, when I can get to sleep. ;-)-

VooDooPope- Check out today's Woot. Queen sized memory foam mattress. Do yourself a favor and spend the $$$ on a good mattress. You spend 1/3 of your life there. It's the first thing I replaced when I lost all of my crap in Hurricane Ike.
Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately when we moved to a smaller house we sold our King sized bed and downgraded to a full size (I know tell me about slumming) because we didn't have enough space in the new place for the king. I'm mattress shopping this weekend. (must spread rep around before giving you more -- Thanks again)
I put this in Pugsly's coupon thread, but thought I'd post here as well: Altec Lansing Speaker Dock for the iPad. Regularly $149, $99 with coupon code CNETMP450. http://www.alteclansing.com/ae/us/home-speakers/octiv-stage-mp450/invt/mp450/
No room for a queen? My SO and I thought we'd died and gone to heaven when we bought a queen sized set years ago. It's a great compromise between a double and a king. More room for your iPad!
i got the verizon 3g 64GB black ipad2. this thing is SO COOL! this is my first apple purchase... i think i will be switching the rest over to apple soon.
been using the ipad 2 for about 2 weeks now. At first, the experience is interactive and fun, but I am starting to rethink my purchase. I am starting to get frustrated with my in ability to customize the desktop, and a general sense that it is too much like the iphone. The biggest specific example I can point to is notifications. You don't have much flexibility here, either you turn then off or you deal a pop-up smack dab in the middle of your screen. This may not seem like an issue to some, but if you are actively using any IM client, using exchange for meetings and reminders, this gets annoying. I don't take issue with this on the iphone as I am not a big believer that a phone needs to multitask. However, my expectations for a tablet are that it should be closer to a laptop/netbook, than a phone and the mult-tasking experience needs to reflect that. The overall experience is still a positive. I am just wondering if I should sell the ipad and go to a cheaper android honeycomb coming out later this month (see link below) where the customization ability sounds more promising long-term or wait for apple to make significant improvements to iOS? (iOS 5?). http://techcrunch.com/2011/04/08/acer-iconia-tab-a500-features-honeycomb-1ghz-processor-450-price/ Apologies in advance if this ends up derailing the thread. Not meant to incite an apple fan boy vs non fan boy war. I own products of both companies.
here's Dr. of Dunk: I'd much rather get a 10-13" notebook or netbook instead, just to keep a real keyboard. Problem is by the time you get to the models with equally nice displays & solid state drives, they are the real expensive models with other upgrades as well that i don't want to pay for. So i can see the perspective of laptops "costing more" to someone with similar priorities. now if there was a small net/notebook with an ips display etc. for around the same price, I'd forget about ipads too.
