Lance Berkman just hit a grand slam and has 5 rbis in the 3rd inning. His past 3games he has 4 home runs 10 rbis.
I REALLY don't like our 8th and 9th inning combo. Much rather have Lopez in the 7th and Lyon the 8th while promoting one of the younger guys to close.
Carlos Lee is in full decline now, I know he is making a crap load of money but when do you begin to consider benching him? He offers nothing in terms of defense, base-running or leadership and when he doesn't hit...it's a black hole in the cleanup spot.
you gotta hope he comes around. what do you want, a defensive sutd in LF? Cause it's not like anyone tearing it up and sitting..
Bring up Bogey, JD Martinez or even Jack Shuck...anything. We have been waiting for 7 months for him to get it going and even though he rebounded okay last year, he is still not hitting anywhere near enough to justify taking up a spot on a rebuilding squad.
ARGHHH. I hate to see so many opponents' fans in the stands... the CUBS and BRAVES have them mostly because of their TV followers... but the Braves have been always a good franchise... successful. I saw people leave around my section in the 7th, after we couldn't produce more runs... I said to some: "Hey! There are still two more innings! Where are y'all going?" I just hate that our fans leave early. #@#*()&@#& STAY THE WHOLE GAME!!! A guy in the section where I was on Saturday screamed: "HEY CARLOS, LET'S SEE THE MILLIONS PUT TO WORK!" We all LOL'd. SLAM! Double... I think.
Baseball is one of the only sports I can watch even when the team is bad. Primarily because well its baseball. Most games are going to still be decided by 1-2 runs. The stadiums are beautiful and the game is just generally fun to watch. The Astros have been expected to fail and lose in recent years so I'm really not pissed when we lose. Whereas the Rockets/Texans have just been even bigger disappointments in past years.
Considering we have blown two 4-0 leads and a 4-1 lead, we could realistically be 7-5. We fix the bullpen and we will be okay...now let me take this last tequila shot.
They desperately need him to hit in order to be able to move any portion of his contract. I think they give him this season, and then end up waiving him next year.
