I've been saying that I would have been more than happy just with the swap.

To be fair, coming from a Dragic fan, he was struggling. He was about to lose his backup spot to Dowdell, got injured and wasn't happy. That being said, Gentry started messing with his backup group after their big trade and it effected Dragic considerably.

I think those numbers are a little misleading because the Rockets could win big one game, then lose several real close games and the numbers would still indicate that they were a much better team than their record showed. According to their point-differential, they should've been like the 6th seed in the West but we all know that wasn't the case. The only real win % is the W/L in the standings.

We don't need Battier. A true 2 way SF who is better on offense than Chase along with being a solid defender will help us out.

What a way to end the season with a win. I must say this year for us was interesting. went from going downhill beginning of the season to finishing over the .500 mark,3 of our players had triple doubles.

    GOOD SEASON ROCKETS

It's nice to see us go out with a win despite the disappointment of not making it to the playoffs.

That 69% figure is not average point differential. It is the same thing as W/L record, except its focusing only on the minutes in which those 5 players were on the court together. If you want to assess the performance of those 5 players as a starting unit, why do you want to look at overall win-loss record knowing that the bench performance for much of the season was absolutely horrid?

Yet people keep perpetuating the notion that the good run after the deadline was caused by Morey's trades forcing Adelman to play better players.

I would sign him for a good price to be the backup of another more complete SF (ideal situation). With his current role in Memphis, fits in every winning team.

Always very convenient to have a guy like him in your locker room, in your practices, and of course in your rotation. Stats apart, he's a winning guy, and a LEGIT veteran.

The bench wasn't that much better when Battier left either, was it? The only difference was Goran for Brooks and Patterson playing more minutes. Everyone's collective games stepped up when Battier/Brooks left, there's no denying that. Budinger was absolute crap for most of the season as well, so that may play into why that lineup's numbers aren't quite as impressive (still 61% though). Evaluate the difference in the Bud lineup's pre- and post- trade?

Adelman went with a tighter rotation, playing the starters longer minutes (in particular, played Lowry and Hayes longer minutes), and PT for the weakest performers (Hill, obviously Brooks) was significantly reduced. I also think sense of urgency increased with the race to make the 8th seed.

Don't forget the one about Rick benching players with the 'hot hand' to play his starters down the stretch.

Oh, well that explains everything then... even though it didn't answer my second question. I don't have the figures but I checked those numbers about a week or two after the trade and the "Bud" lineup went up from like a ~50-something% to a 61% which is quite a jump. But I'm too tired to look it up. I enjoyed the season nevertheless, and you're still my favorite poster durvasa.

Congrats to Dragic for his first triple-double. Man, I was looking forward with a healthy Rockets team. Oh well, there's always next year.
