If he didn't throw a pitch, it doesn't get counted.

The league site has been down more than not...for the last seven or so years. I know there is must be a plausible explanation, so why have we continued with this provider?

Because it allows for scoring/rules that are most similar to the old Sandbox site, which is where our league originated.

I would be open to moving to another service as Fanstar definitely has its downsides (cost, bugs). It would probably mean changing our rules somewhat. Particularly, we would likely need to have weekly SP/RP limits instead of yearly ones. I haven't researched it very thoroughly, though.

I'm playing in a league this year for the first time with weekly SP/RP limits. I would MUCH prefer this style -- it's easier keeping track of limits week by week.

For a B level squad with underwhelming starting pitching, the Aliens have done alright so far.

    Smeg Review

What do we know after 3 weeks?

In the West, the Aliens are off to a fast start at 3-0 and with 647 pts scored, for an average of 215 a scoring period. The Rook on the other hand has only scored 382 in total and somewhat surprisingly is zip and 3...... somewhere in between the LTF's have scored over 500 but only have one win, whereas the Jent's have scored nearly 600 and have 2 wins on the board

The East is a alot closer with all 4 teams over 500 points, with the PSJ youngsters 2 and 1 as is the Smarmy Gits. Longhorn has triple single in results with 1 win, 1 tie and 1 loss and the poor whittle Expos bringing up the rear with 2 losses and a tie.

    Team Breakdowns

Aliens - Jose Tabata, flash in the pan or can it last, Adrian Gonzalez has been solid and Bautista hitting 400, SS could be a problem and Mauer is certainly not giving a good return for his salary. The pitching is performing amazingly well and that Street pick is looking like gold, Weaver and Scherzer with 5 wins between them is a grand start.

Jents - His Bats have some fairly solid contributions across the board so far, with 6 players over 40 points, with his infield very strong so far. Aside from Haren and JJ and the surprisimng Kuroda his pitching is pretty scretchy so far, and only 2 saves by his relievers

LTFs - Fielder and Kinsler lead the way in pts and ManRam in stupidity, the Zimmer man'as injury hurts big time and Tex will eventually improve that average. 3 wins from his pitching in this scoring format really hurts, but Becketts last start and having CC give him some hope, Marmol seems a lock RP so far.

Rooks - Kimbrel and Nathan are his best pitchers so far, with Putz not far behind, perhaps we could see the first all relieving pitching line-up in this league so far. Kemp has started hot and that soccer player married to a spice girl is scoring well and Heyward looking good but after that the batting has been as ugly as Chuck Hayes's lay-ups!

Smeg - 42 from Howard Kendrick is a big bonus and Beltre is off to a fast start and CarGo looks promising to repeat his bust out, Choo has been useless so far and Holliday needs to have a good hard look at himself, toughen up princess. The starters have been solid with 7 wins already, the jury is well and truely out on the bulk closer strategy

PSJ Toddlers - The high school team is performing amazingly well so far, with contributions for Walker, Stalin, Chipper, Young, Ortiz and Castro (sounds like the cuban travelling wilburies cover band) in the hitting department. The pitching is showing a lot of quality and depth, Kershaw, Oswalt, Lincecum off to strong starts and Bell and Rivera getting saves, if Price gets going and he plays the hot Hanarahan watch out for everyone's crazy drafter

Shorthorns - Bobby A is still alive again, and Konerko is hanging on and Victorino off to a good start, the other Bats even Pujholes seems to be off to slow starts. As for pitching Neftali is gold along with Halladay, but 3 wins will make it tough in this leag!

Expos No more - In defense of his whiny little princess commish, his players do seem to have scored alot of points for such an awesome record, Braun, Wright and Votto leading the hitting way, although after these 3 it does seem to drop away to alot of 20 pt or under hitters. King F has been outstanding along with Soria. Gallardo and Perez are off to good starts.

    Hamilton out 6-8 weeks.

Things just went from bad to worse. At this rate, this might just end up being a rebuilding year for the Expos...

LTF, last 2 games you've started fewer IF than you are allowed to. You've been leaving out the UI spot.
