    Who the f**k is "they"?

There are approximately 1 BILLION "black" people on the face of the planet. How many have you met or talked with?

Are you really in any position to talk about what "they" do.......Jesus Christ, what an idiot.

After the camera panned away, Kobe was heard to disclaim: "No homo." So there's really nothing to see here.

    LOL!

    Who seriously cares about this?

This comment probably isn't half as bad as what is said on the court or field of any sport during any game.

You are rationalizing based on your own life. The point is that "f*****" is offensive to a large group of people, just not as many as the "n*gger". Both are just words, and really, why should anyone be offended by any word?

Maybe you and your bros hang around and have a brew and punch each other in the arms and call each other ****, so it's A-OK by you. I think that kind of behavior makes us look like a bunch of dumbasses. So when a role model effectively says it is A-OK by him, I think it's a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure worse things have been said on the court than this. Hell, I think I've said worse things than this during pick up ball. When you're angry, you have no filter. Kobe's statement did say it all, it was in the heat of the moment.

Would you rather he call him a ****ing b****?

Well, lets just take a look at FT attempts per game shall we?

    1. Dwight Howard: 11.8 attempts per game
    2. Kevin Durant: 8.8 attempts per game
    3. Dwyane Wade: 8.6 attempts per game
    4. Blake Griffin: 8.5 attempts per game
    5. Lebron James: 8.4 attempts per game
    6. Kevin Martin: 8.3 attempts per game
    7. Carmelo Anthony: 7.9 attempts per game
    8. Russell Westbrook: 7.7 attempts per game
    9. Amare Stoudemire: 7.7 attempts per game
    10. Kobe Bryant: 7.1 attempts per game

    http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/free-throws/sort/avgFreeThrowsAttempted

Plus players say all sorts of words on the court all the time, it's just the media being the media.

What do FT/game have to do with players getting calls? Kobe is a jumpshooter and he goes to the line 7+ times per game. That is pretty much all you need to know.

    Per @WojYahooNBA
    Adrian Wojnarowski
The NBA fined Kobe Bryant 100K for slur on referee.

    ---

Talk about unlucky. If TNT had cut away 5 seconds earlier, this is all nothing.

He should have been thrown out either way. Who else besides Kobe can make a pejorative toward a ref and not even get a T for it?

How do you even know the ref heard him, he was probably just muttering it himself.

Well, he did yell the refs name right before. I'm sure he just wanted to get the ref's info so he could send him a gift basket.

I said how do you know the ref heard him. The clip shows he was yelling at the ref, but the ref probably ignored him, so he's like "frucking f*****"

    We're talking about weights? Really?

Slaves didn't go through slavery so you can use their suffering like a bargaining chip and wave it around to remind other minority groups how insignificant their plights are compared to African Americans.

You got serious issues if you think some discrimination are more acceptable than others.

Normally when you use a personal noun that classify a group of people, such as Australians, Christians, or just tall people, you can use the word "they" later in the sentence to refer back to said black people.

"Look at those tall guys over there. Yeah, I bet they have an unfair advantage in basketball"

I doubt it, by directing it at an individual it would limit their ability to sue and hence claim govt money for civil rights legal fees
