Seriously? So many people have been under fire for using that word. Does anyone realize that word has meant so many different things over the years? It's evolved, and using it shouldn't be such a bid deal. At least it wasn't the N word...

If he said it to a gay referee, I'd be irritated by it....but come on. Yes, the word should go away, but just this week we had a poster tossing it around over a bet. It gets used all the time with absolutely zero tie in to sexual orientation. Same thing as r****d to the mentally handicapped.

The nation could really stand to pay more attention to the words they use....but there's a big difference between using a word with serious targeted hate behind it, and tossing out a word as a profanity.

Anybody who can get offended over a simple word deserves to get their p***y ass kicked. Ridiculous! Oh no! Think of the children!!! As though they'll never grown into adults.

You should go down to Compton and start busting out the N word and see whose p***y ass gets kicked.

The concern should be less on what he said and more on him abusing his own teammate on the bench.

IMO, there is a difference there. If black people were offended by the N word then they wouldn't use it it among each other. You don't hear homosexuals walking up to each other and saying, "Whats up, f*g?" It's incredibly hypocritical.

South Park is one of those shows that has long degenerated into a mess of media filth and hypocrisy, they can practically get away with anything just by shouting "IT'S PARODY".

I hope you don't learn your life lessons from something like that.

I seriously dislike Kobe Bryant. But I SERIOUSLY dislike easily offended people. Pet peeve alert.

Gay activists can be as bad as PETA - I don't mind that they're standing up for what they believe, but being easily-offended and blowing issues out of proportion gets me antagonistic really fast. It's not constructive. A gay person who can deal with people's ignorance has infinitely more respect from me than a whistle blower. Wow I can't stand PC wars.

I am serious when I say this: it depends on how flaming they are, the same way it depends if they're Bill Cosby black or Street Thug Jones black.

I wonder how much that word is actually thrown around during a course of a game

Just because the camera happened to be on him at the time, it's getting blown way outta proportion.

It looks more like he said "***" rather than "f*****". Semantics I know. Frankly I don't think it's that big a deal.

I seriously doubt he thinks the ref was gay, therefore no discrimination or hate was intended. It's like when hispanics or stupid white people walk around calling each other n*gga. There is no discrimination or hate was intended. Only sensitive, b****-ass pansies that like to scream racism or discrimination so they can feel important in life make a big deal about it.

While it's true that people are over-sensitive, you have to realize that Kobe and other NBA players are role-models for kids and as such have to be put under a bigger microscope. What kind of adult goes around calling people he works with faggots?
