Well if the Heat win and the roles are the same as in the regular season, it's pretty simple to state that i was wrong. However i don't see that happening. Meaning i don't see the Heat winning the title.
What do you mean his team isn't that bad? Have you looked at the Cavs record this year? They were lucky they missed out being the worst team in history! Also by what measure do you think Kobe is better than Lebron? If Lebron had been the one playing with Shaq, and then with Gasol and Odom I'm sure he'd also have 6 rings by now. LBJ has blown Kobe in almost every category you can think of for several years now. The only edge Kobe has over him is he has better teammates. That's it.
Heat won't win the title because they don't have enough depth. Three stars all by themselves aren't enough to win anything. Boston has 4 stars and they're getting punked left and right. The year Boston won the title, they had 5 stars (big 3+perks and rondo) and they had 2 vets playing like all stars during their run as well (posey and that other forward). The years LA went back to back, they had the big 2, Odom who played like an allstar +a host of other players who are tenacious defenders and could blow up at any given time (Artest/Ariza, Sasha Vujacic, Fisher etc). So the point is to win a ring you need overwhelming talent, not just in terms of star power but also your role players need to be a cut above the rest. The Heat don't have that.
How many stars did LA have in 2002? There's no reason the Heat can't win it this year. In the playoffs, your rotation shortens. They have three marquee players + some decent role players in Miller, JJ, and Bibby. The main thing thing holding them back is the fact that the East is as stacked as its been in years. Whoever comes out of that pack will be a great team.
Bench depth is overrated in the playoffs, as James Wade and Bosh will be playing 40 mins in the playoffs most nights, and there are no back to back games. Also Boston 4 stars are not two of the top 3 players in the league, huge difference in talent levels. If Lebron can take his team to the conf finals by himself, I'm sure with Wade and Bosh they will have a very big shot of making the finals. And ask Laker fans, the Heat are one team they do not to face in the finals.
The cavs team that played this year wasn't exactly the same roster it was as last year due to injury or FA/trading (lebron not included offcourse). Just look it up on the official cavaliers roster. And when you're in a dip it goes from bad to worse sometimes. With not as bad, i just meant it like i wrote it. I'm not saying it was top, but not so bad that he had to leave the team. He should just have persuaded one of his allstar buddys to join his team and not the other way around. And about: oh that roster is so good etc is overrated imo. A team is mostly build on two or three players and rest is replaceable for other 3rd, 4th or whatever number good player. WHY becaue average players will look better if they play with star players on a team that is functioning good. History has shown that lots of times only the stars keep the spotlight, the rest think they are very good and talk alot, until they have to get in the limelight or take the limelight and 90% fail. About the Kobe thing. Well imo it's no debate just watch bball and not stats. one reason is kobe is a closer.
