Maybe you missed offensive zero Chuck Hayes sudden emergence under Adelman's high post initiated system. Hayes posted a triple double FFS.

Now picture removing Hayes and inserting one of the most skilled offensive PFs in his place.

There was a reason Morey went after him so hard.

    Hypocrisy abounds.

Someone calls Bosh a non-superstar and you call him a max level elite talent. Guess what, that's also your opinion.

Secondly you call him out for using meaningless words like "second option" and then you drop the "roleplayer" bomb on Scola, as if that means something lol.

Bosh is the Melo of PFs, fake superstar. Many of us have known this for a while, the league is starting to catch on too now.

Btw does playing with Wade and James stop him from blocking shots and getting rebounds too (since he does those at the same rate as Scola) ?

As far as I'm concerned, not discussing or numerically comparing their defensive impacts IS ignoring it. Your over-simplification of Bosh being Scola except worse is even more naive. As far as I'm concerned, Scola is a zero on defense.. if Bosh is even a 1 he might have had a better net impact on this team. Whether I would pay for his contract is another story.

Scola has a great post game and a motor, but his passing and decision making are streaky at best, and his defensive presence is nada. On some nights its too much to ask for him to even stay in front of someone laterally.

I'm OK with Scola, but not with posters who type symbol hearts and have the giggles. This opinion is not an unfounded knee-jerk reaction that Clutchfans is known for.

This post seems irrelevant. I'm more concerned with their actual net impact on the court. "Superstar" is a nebulous, sometimes meaningless term that NBA fans get infatuated with. I don't care who is labeled role player or not, especially if it gets in the way of actual skill evaluation.

Would you not take Melo on this team for the right price just because you have some sort of vendetta?

Solid post. I wouldn't trade Chuck for anything.. you can never underrate defensive potential. Scola has very little which is okay based on all of the competitiveness that he gives us, but we will never know how Bosh would have played on this team, in this role, in this system, under this coach by basing our assumptions on how he has played with Miami. It's like comparing apples to eggs.

That's kinda the point of this whole thread, there is no "right price" for players like Melo and Bosh. No one is arguing that Bosh is worse than Scola (I said worse post game not worse overall btw). The point is that those players are marginally better than guys like Scola and yet due to hype will always command twice as much money.
