I've had a bummer of a week...got really sick Friday night and have been puking nonstop since then. Had to go to the ER today due to dehydration. Kenpo on Saturday was the last workout I did...wondering if I'll need to do another "normal" week of Phase 2 before I move onto recovery week (supposed to be this week). I'm worried I'm going to have super weak arms because I've had 3 days in a row off now... :\
Can anybody give me a copy and mail it? I'll pay for the expenses and rep. Message me through the board. Thanks.
dont worry about it...one doesnt really lose or gain strength that quickly...in fact, a lot of the improvement you were seeing earlier was probably due to neural adaptation and not so much an increase in strength. When doing new exercises (movements), the body first improves performance by learning to do the movements, then after that is when the strength gains really kick in. It'll take a while to undo either, so 3 days off won't make you weaker. If you have trouble it's probably due to fatigue and/or still being dehydrated.

Hardest excercise ever imho. Everytime he says "Don't switch before I count" I feel like punching him through the TV.
Anyone need a good heart rate monitor? The Polar FT7 (black/gold) heart rate monitor is on sale at Academy for $69.88. The regular price is $109.99. http://tinyurl.com/3pads3w
Just a tip: If you really want the Bowflex adjustable dumbbell set with a stand for about $230 off, they're being offered right now for $319.20. http://deals.woot.com/deals/details...electtech-552-dumbbells-2-in-1-dumbbell-stand That's still a lot of money, and would buy a lot of regular dumbbells, but it's a signficant discount.
I have not stopped puking for the last week-plus. Going to see a specialist today to see what they can give me to relieve gastritis. My stomach lining is eroded and I'm having trouble staying hydrated. Just pisses me off that I can't workout/nourish myself right now. I'm supposed to start Phase 3 on Monday but I think I might go back 2 weeks and do 1 more normal week of Phase 2 before starting the recovery week.
I was not very pleased with my results following the first 30 days, so I've decided to start the whole thing over again. Between being very ill and having to start up again 2 weeks in after a 10 day layoff and not paying a ton of attention to my diet, I figure now would be a good time to reboot. Hope everybody else is doing better than I am.
Folks I'm looking into getting started on p90x, I live a sedentary life and one of my main motivations is to get a boost in energy level. Can you give me some testimonials about this? Also I would like to find out about good deals for the gear needed. Thanks.
