That is why I love JD's analysis, explaining Q's strategy during that last AB is what casual fans won't get.

I think the biggest sign that the Astros are rebuilding and that fan apathy is at a near all-time high is that there is literally no crowd reaction when something bad happens. I just watched Hunter Pence strike out and look silly and there was no reaction from the crowd. No groan, no boos....nothing. It's like they didn't even notice.

All he had to do was make contact and its a tie game...terrible AB!

At least the Rox are putting up a fight with the Mavs w/o Scola and Lowry

Damn is right. I have witnessed what may be a once-in-a-lifetime event with Onhell's homer.

I'm wondering if this is hitting coach's fault..

You have a problem when then man you have in the 3 spot swings at balls deep in the dirt at least twice a day..

That fact that Hunter freaking Pence is your freaking 3 hitter is *not* your hitting coach's fault. Or the skipper's fault.

If Hunter could just lay off the slider, he would be a regular at the all-star game.

    13 strikeouts, but 5 walks.

That's why they didn't want to bring him up that first year, even though he hit 1.000 (exaggeration intended) that spring--they knew he was a wild swinger and ML pitching would expose that. They wanted him to bring some discretion to that eye and some discipline to that swing down at AAA before coming up.

Yeah, on a good team Hunter is what, a #5 hitter? On a great team, a #6?
