So in the 6 years I've lived in my apartment, I've amassed an impressive collection of wire hangers (the kind you get from the cleaners). I'm ready to pass these along, and I would normally give them back to the cleaner. However, many of the hangers are bent up and largely unusable now.

So does anyone know of places in Houston that will accept wire hangers for recycling?

with all the financial problems and potential budget cuts, i'd consider planned parenthood.

I actually use to just take them to my local dry cleaner so they can just re-use them.

A scrap metal place would probably pay you 10 cents per pound. Do you have enough to make a pound's worth?

Easily - but I could care less about making any money. I'm just looking to get rid of the hangers without just throwing them away (and adding more unnecessary crap to our landfills).

Well, if I do make any money off this, I promise I'll use it to make a donation in your name to PP.

No pics, but let's just say I have a habit of not throwing anything away. An authority no less than the thadeus himself once saw the mess and called it "an accomplishment."
