Don't forget Nate Robinson. That guy was a solid backup. Not to mention, he is tough as nails despite only being 5 ft 9. His attitude was beneficial to the celtics.
even if they did want to fight it's not like you can catch a huge suspension with 2 games to go in the regular season. or really at any point, but especially now. this isn't like when you could deck someone and just get kicked out of the game and play the next day.
True I blame Stern for a lot of it. I understand why they don't do it I just think there is no need in acting and pushing when you plan on doing nothing.
props to wade in this game. in previous games, if he struggles offensively like tonight, he would give up defensively. his defense on ray allen has been phenomenal since the bad start.
still, i don't think i've ever seen anyone seemingly weaken the main strength of a title contender (that was playing very well) with a mid-season trade. it seems unprecedented.
agree completely. plus, it appeared that ainge never consulted the main players on this b/c they were all shocked after the trade
Anyone else thinks Rondo is the main problem for Celtics. Teams have figured him out and doesn't even guard him anymore on the perimeter and just doubled and rolling pick. Since he can't shoot, their offence stagnates.
very true. if you see the stat they put up earlier, their OFFENSE is what has taken a big dip, not defense. their defense has been better statistically. rondo has been awful lately.
He hurt them against the Lakers last year. With that said for the last years he has been their best player in the playoffs.
lebron is arguing that wade was ahead of pierce when he got fouled so it should be a breakaway? doesn't the guy with the ball have to be ahead of everyone or do i not know the rule? also, apparently i don't know my nba history because who is steve johnson? and how did he get 450 ft's in a season?
The fatal flaw in this is reason #3. Jeff Green is a marginal starter in the NBA. He just isn't all that good. He would put up 20 pts/game on a bad team. On a contender, the Celts have him correctly pegged at about 20 mins/game. The other problem is the effect Perkins had on the Celts toughness. Neither Green nor Krstic have any at all.
It is not about Perkins' ability or the things he does. It is about CHEMISTRY. They used to have the best chemistry I have ever seen and it is dead and gone now. C's are done. Horrible trade Danny.
wow game changing block there. pierce finally plays well vs lebron. i thought he was intimidated by lebron since last year.
