Do you? I don't believe in it, don't see a way it could happen. However, the Chaplin movie which showed a lady talking into a device, which she held in her hand up to her ear... just like a cell phone. See the video for yourself: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Y6a4T2tJaSU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> what else could this be? just a coincidence? I mean who walks around with their hand on the side of their head?
I don't believe backwards time travel will ever be possible, because it has yet to be confirmed that we have been visited by someone from the future.
Somebody who doesn't want wind blowing in their ear? Somebody with an earache? Somebody with the hearing aid mentioned above? Come on, ToyCen, at least keep up with the times, this topic is old...
That's probably it, but even if it wasn't a hearing aid I still wouldn't think its time traveling. How the heck would a time traveler's cell phone working in the 1920s? Or for that matter, how the heck would time traveling work? She's a strange woman who just likes walking around with her hand to her ear is a more likely explanation.

I think the thought would be that if they can time travel, then their communications technology would be advanced enough to where it probably wouldn't need cell towers or a calling plan to work.
I believe in time travel but it would involve going the speed of light. It would be time travel going forward only without ability to return to now. In fact I made it in 1994 and the rockets just won it all. I time traveled until now and apparently chose a bad time in history to stop.
Maybe she was just saying "can you hear me now?" over and over, with no reply. Toycen, I for one believe in time travel. It just so happens that we are all traveling forward at exactly the same speed. Also, it has been proven that astronauts time travel but a little more slowly than us earth-bound people.
Have you heard of the little theoretical Morse code trick some scientists think may be possible at the LHC if they find the Higgs-Boson? Communication through time -- not exactly time travel, but interesting.
It is possible that Humans millions of years in the future have mastered propulsion technology and are able to travel at light speed or faster. They have already travelled back to the distant history and changed the past. Only we do not know it because our only conception of history is what has occurred and not what would have occurred had the future Humans not intervened. Who knows
