that was what i said. hinting to stay 100%? he never did that. i think you're interpreting my question as: did he hint "at all" that he was staying in cleveland 100%. the "at all" may have caused you to interpret my question differently. what i was trying to say was did lebron hint at all that he was staying in cleveland 100%? i think i stated that pretty clearly.
You added the 100%, but it doesn't make a difference. Hinting to stay and hinting to stay 100%. Oh my god, what is the difference? The only difference I could think of is the other makes absolutely no difference in the point of the sentence but is there to make the sentence sound more r****ded. What is there to argue? You made a baseless point and I disproved it. He HINTED he would stay. HINTING means there is a chance he would stay in Cleveland. You CAN'T hint something 100%. Does this make any sense to you? "I am hinting to you that I 100% hid a toy under the bed?"
Can somebody qualified to teach English or logic in general please explain to t_mac1 why it is faulty (or plain r****ded) to hint something that you confirm will happen 100%? It's like saying "I'm hinting to you right now that I definitely hid the money under the bed!" Anyone who can articulate the paradox more eloquently than myself, please step in.
my bad for you misunderstanding my faulty english. sorry for not being so educated up to your standards. let's keep it moving.
What? It's my fault now? First of all, you said this It's not even faulty English that is the problem, you said Lebron did not hint he would stay in Cleveland, when he did. And I gave you prove for it. If you meant confirm, you would have used that term. Afterall, you used the term confirm here didn't you? In fact, you even show you know the difference between hinting and confirming. If you meant confirming, why can't you just have said: Why can't you just replace hint with confirm like what I did for you? You MEANT hint, and you were wrong and baseless. I disproved you accordingly, and if you would just own up for throwing out baseless facts, instead of crying over how I'm a mean person, things would go on a lot more peacefully.
Lebron's jumper has been pretty good this year. He's still shooting 50% from the field even though he's relying a lot more on that jumper than in previous seasons.
Kobe running Shaq out of town just proves that he knew he really was the sidekick. He knew he could never be the man on that team as long as Shaq was there. I don't think this really helps your argument.
Wrong again. If Kobe really didn't feel he was the sidekick, he would have wanted Shaq to stay there because it gave the team a better opportunity to win. He wanted Shaq out because he knew he was the sidekick and always would be with Shaq there.
I agree. Simmons made a really good case for Rose and a good case against Howard as well in the Orlando section of that piece. He changed my opinion, in fact. I would go with Rose at this point.
I think we're arguing two different things. You're saying that he was Shaq's sidekick, which is a true statement. I'm saying that while he was Shaq's sidekick, he didn't believe he was Shaq sidekick. Since he ultimately ousted Shaq from the team, this is also true. Remember, my original point was a player saying one thing and thinking another.
I understand what you're saying, I just disagree. We agree that Kobe was Shaq's sidekick. However, I think Kobe knew this, too. And he didn't like it. He thought he was good enough to win without being a sidekick, but realized that Shaq had to go for that to happen. That's why he ran Shaq out of town.
I feel so bad for T_mac1 for getting owned in the last few pages and you guys are just rubbing it in. He already admit he's a big Rose fan and loves to watch him play. That's good enough for me. Besides its OK to criticize your favorite player b/c you always want him to improve and T_mac1 already addresses that issues and even stated that he think Rose will take it to another level next year. That's why I don't bother him anymore. Lock this thread. Rose will be MVP deserving or not.
i don't consider having "disagreements" with other posters as getting owned. there's a reason rose winning the MVP is coming down this late in the season; its not a unanimous decision. and i don't get what's wrong with having different opinions. this is a discussion board. you don't have to agree with another poster.
none taken. that's why clutchfans is an awesome board. i enjoy discussions where people don't take "disagreements" out of hand.
