Save up just a little and you'll get a much better TV. Don't save $150 on a TV you'll regret. Coby and Westinghouse are names to avoid.

If you want to save cash, consider Vizio.

I bought a 32 in Vizio for 350 but I got insurance so it came out to 400. I'm now thinking about taking it back now for that 40 inch.

I always recommend the vieras to anybody, because that ips panel they use offers the best picture I've personally ever seen. You will be amazed by how good it really is.

Damn. And your picture quality can't even compare to what's out there now.

I believe that advances in 1080p are pretty well leveling out now with the ips, so now is the time to get yourself a perfect picture quality tv.

I was lucky/cursed that I had 2 tvs stolen from me, so now the tv i have a am very happy with.

I'm also looking to buy a new tv. when i fist bought an HDTV all i had to worry about was do i want a Plasma or LCD and 1080p or 1080i.

Are LED-LCD the best kind of tv's? how high should the MHz be? are the internet enable tv's any good? should i get a tv that is capable of 3D viewing?

My advice? Go to the stores and take a gander at them. When I first bought my panasonic veira the salesman tried to point me to every other tv in his store it seemed like, with all of these crazy features. But I kept telling him, this one looks better.

See what you think is best and go from there.

that looks like the normal price for that size and brand of tv.

I'd shell out $100 more for a nicer brand or get a Vizio for slightly more than the Coby.

I've had NO problems with my westing house. I've had it for 5 years now.

I'd recommend W as a cheaper brand to go with.
