When he plays as a PG, he gives his team a physical advantage, he's a better defender on the ball than off the ball. He can get rebounds and launch fastbreaks, push the tempo, get some easy shots, some extra fouls. He played very well the p&r, he scored an important three... And all that is what he can also do in the NBA. He won't be able to score over SGs in the NBA.
I like that Daryl is modest enough to deflect all the praise and credit to the players and coaches even though that 2/24 date seems to coincide with something else too...
He is only playing point guard because Sergio Rodriguez is injured. As always, he only plays point guard if there are injuries. And his feet are slow laterally. He is slow on defense in the Euroleague for the point guard position.

I noticed his fb posted a fake "look what this teen's dad caught her doing omg" link. Looks like Morey's been scouting other kinds of talent.
dmorey Daryl Morey Disappointing we did not make the playoffs but our guys fought hard to the end. We have a strong core of improving players going forward. dmorey Daryl Morey Congrats to the Memphis Grizzlies, Chris Wallace, @ShaneBattier on making the playoffs. They earned it with inspired play down the stretch.
Yea we do have a core of improving players going forward, except they all have limited potential in height department
# of times Grizzlies made playoffs without Shane Battier on the roster: 0. # of times Grizzlies made playoffs with Shane Battier on the roster: 4.
dmorey: Rox floor general @Klow7 will represent us Tue@lottery. Hoping quote "good luck is with the man who doesn't include it in his plans" is true
Daryl Morey needs to move up. Our franchise needs the hope. As much as I love our players, I see nothing to look forward to. I hope some of our young guys (Jordan Hill, Terrence Williams, Patrick Patterson, Hasheem Thabeet) develop past expectations. I am praying to Darwin for it.
Since the lottery began, which team made the most unlikely "jump" from their original position based on their record and where they actually picked?
That's a question for less lazy people (i.e., not me) to research. In my own NBA lifetime, I can think of the Charlotte Hornets moving up from #13 to #3 and taking Baron Davis.
