Good grief, why does everything need to be bagged in some fancy-ass expensive bag, then stuffed with some fancy-ass expensive tissue? That's an extra $5-10 on top of the gift price.

And pulling crap out of a bag isn't even as fun as tearing the wrapping paper off.

Don't give me that 'oh, you can reuse the bag!' junk, because it doesn't really happen.

    Lamesauce.

dude my mom keeps all of the fancy bags and tissue she receives and I just re-use them when giving gifts, saves me the hassle of having to wrap nicely and its quicker to do that and at least for me it doesnt cost me money since I just used the recycled fancy bags my mom keeps from gifts given to her.

so yes we do reuse the bag

Buying gifts for your wife won't win her back. Her heart is with Jermaine.

Reason #487 why I get along well with Indian folks.

Is it one of these "You might be an Indian if..." moments?

Because it's easier than wrapping. And many people, not just Indian (is that an indian giver joke?) save the bags. HeyahyahyahHeyahyahyah.

Dollar store bag and tissue paper = $2.

Saving me the time, pain and agony of having to wrap a gift = priceless

Just forget the bag and wrap it. Is the recipient going to throw the gift in your face if it isn't in a fancy bag?

Yeah, see, this is a way a guy might do it. But women don't do these things this way.

    See below....

Gift Cards! I speak for myself when I say I prefer these over almost all presents. Not to mention, you can throw them in an envelope (that they usually come with) and be done with it! Oh, and to top that off...you can quite often find gift cards for discounted prices. Recently H.E.B. had 25% off gift cards.

I concur. But I'm in the realm of 5-year-old birthday parties. To them, a gift card is a piece of plastic. Even cash at that age isn't as exciting as a present.

I agree that tearing up the wrapping paper is more fun that removing some tissue paper and looking into a bag. I just find wrapping paper to be such a waste.

I've never seen so much paper get thrown out for just 30 seconds of happiness, especially for those ridiculously, ginormous presents.

TIP: if the tissue paper looks too crinkled to be used again, you can iron it to make it look like new!

I see where the money is coming from for you to buy updated Rockets jerseys. All those people walking around in Kobe #8s and McGrady Rockets jerseys must have wasted all their cash on gift bags.

Bags for me, because I procrastinate.

If I'm on my way to a party, I'm stopping at the store beforehand, because that's when I get the gift.

Wrapping presents in your car is no fun.

    Bags to the rescue.

    And yes, i reuse them.

    bags are faster and easier.

And i reuse them too. Can't remember the last time I had to buy one. And I certainly wouldn't spend $5-$10 on one.

Just don't write on the tags. It makes them harder to reuse.
