Why did they send Casey home if that were the case? Pia, despite what people say, was having mediocre weeks. And, she is not the best pure singer, that would be either jacob or haley. You can't come up on stage and just sing, and if simon were their he would have called pia out a long time ago for her lackluster performances.
Pia, Thia, Lauren, Scott and maybe James are the only one I see having a singing career after Idol even if they don't win. If Hayley and Casey are Jewish they probably get a record deal. Nobody will care about Paul, Jacob and Stefano.
I think Pia would be the one person Simon would not have called out. Anyone but her. Disagree that she is not the best pure singer - that's exactly who she is in this competition, with Casey being the most talented all around.
How many towels and mops would they need to provide to wipe up all the blood from Stefano and Paul McDonald after Simon would have torn them each a new one
Haley and Jacob pure singer? LOL! More like a style of singing in which I have no interested listening to. Jacob have an old gospel singing style that won't be doing so well with the younger audiences. Pia has a good voice and her down fall is listening to the stupid judges and not choosing the proper song to sing. She's choosing the wrong type of balads to sing.
Well, you're entitled to your opinion, but I don't think Pia was having mediocre weeks. I thought she was probably the best week after week. You have the hots for Haley and that's OK, but it's too bad Pia is being sent home.
And Jacob as well. But I'm just glad Haley is still standing. Stefano is really bad and Paul is just strange. But let's not forget Casey. He would have been blasted as well. I always want to see what: Scotty Haley and a mild interest in Casey Beyond them I don't care.
I'm not Jewish but was that comment really necessary? Hayley, to her credit, is doing better the last couple of weeks than she did before but she is only getting votes because of "vote for the worst"/Howard Stern and the fact that she dresses like a slut consistently. Casey may not have the best voice but he is the best pure musician left in this thing.
I think the problem with Pia is twofold: 1) She started to fall in love with the ballads and specifically trying to sound like Celine Dion 2) Everybody kept thinking she was safe and as a result, no one was voting for her because they assumed others were voting for her. But there is also the possibility that she is a diva and the producers decided to remove her from the show (supposedly this was the same thing that was done to Daughtry with the key word being "supposedly"). Not that I am into conspiracy theories, but you do have to wonder if there is something more going on here. It was funny to see the look on Randy's face - that was highly entertaining. But yes, it is a travesty to see Pia go home while mediocre singers like Paul, Hayley, Stefano, and even Jacob (he has worn thin on me and his 'tude sucks) are still in this thing. I think that the looks on the judges' faces as well as Stefano, Jacob, and everyone else spoke volumes about this elimination (which makes me think that there is more going on here).
Some people just can't accept when their favorites are voted off. Those were the singers the people wanted to see after all.
Call me insane then - her growling and dressing like a ho does not equal her being a good singer. She has been good (for her) the last 2 weeks but there is no one that watches the show religiously that would seriously say she is better than Pia. NO ONE.
So, based on the last two weeks, you are going to tell me that Pia was better Haley and Scottie or even Paul. Pia's problem, as with Jacob and Stefano, they are all boring singers. They bring no excitement to the table. And when you add that to the fact that they weren't the best, that Haley, Paul Scottie and Casey, are you going to chose her performance over James Durbin's last night? All of them had better moments, so if that's how you roll, then you are going to be in danger of going home. Pia was choosing lazy song choices and she was predictable. It is what it is.
And Lauren doesn't dress like a ho? Give me a break. It's called a skirt Manny, or jeans, the same as Avril would wear.
Her not being better than Pia doesn't make her mediocre. And her outfits aren't any more ho-ish than Pia's, or even Lauren's for that matter.
You might be right but it sure was a surprise to everyone there that Pia was the one going home. I mean look at Stefano - his face told the whole story right there. I do think it is funny that the producers were pushing so hard for a girl to win and here we are down to 8 and there are only 2 girls left, lol!

Bah, you're obviously in love with her so you can't look at this objectively. Lookie there - posts on music - something objective where everyone will have a different opinion than me. Hey, this guy doesn't feel the same way I do so let me type up a post and strengthen my argument with a "". That's fine if you disagree with me but instead of spitting your opinion back to me and not really backing it up, how about quantifying it? I'll quantify mine by saying that of the people left - 1) Scotty - great country voice and getting the teen girl vote; personally I think he is too genre specific to win it but he doesn't look like he is going anywhere soon. 2) Lauren - has that real rasp to her voice - can sing both pop and country and she has a great overall package to her. 3) Casey - unique voice and highly talented musician; he has to be careful not to coast which almost cost him a couple of weeks ago. 4) James - some call him Adam Lambert lite, but he has the perfect rock voice; great back story with him, has to be careful about not coming across as obnoxious. 5) Jacob - he has the great R&B/gospel voice but tends to oversing at times; now he is starting to cop an attitude. I don't see him lasting much longer in this thing. 6) Stefano - he has a solid voice but it seems like something is missing with him. I think he has maxed out his talent here and he should be going at any time but "should" is the key word here. 7) Hayley - she has come on of late and given her 2 best performances of the season. She still growls too much for my taste and I believe that she is playing up her sexiness to the hilt (see what as proof of that :grin. She should probably last a little longer which is remarkable considering where she was a month ago. 8) Paul - I have said it from the very beginning and I have not changed on this - I don't get this guy and never will. He seems to be better off signing with some indie label and trying to be the next Surfjan Stevens or Iron & Wine instead of winning American Idol. Pia - no longer in it which is a major shocker to me and everyone else watching the show. Very powerful voice, maybe outside of Jacob, she had the best voice in the show. She needed to work on her stage presence and song choice could have ultimately done her in. I would still pick her over Paul, Hayley, and Stefano and stand by my comment that those 3 are mediocre singers compared to her. But you have to remember I am going by their voices. The other 3 have done a better job with their song selection and their stage presences. Still, seeing her leave makes you wonder if there is more to it that we just are not being told. So yo, that is how you go through and quantify your opinion on something. You don't make a blanket statement that really can't be disputed one way or the other and attach the "" with it. But hey, it takes some effort to quantify your opinion on this BBS. Little wonder that so many people take the easy way out and overuse the emoticons so much.
