I think Oden's injury is something for the not so keen to regard as damaged goods. I would easily sign Oden if it not be the 411 on his one leg shorter than the other and the prosthetics in the shoe to level things.... Now I absolutely don't see that.... He would have been the ideal.

I see signing Dalambert as the best off season move...

Where is that blame the refs thread? Of course, when the rockets are running and gunning and lowry, scola, and martin are flopping their ass of, its ok.

Trevor Ariza sure looked horrible tonight. And I guess Kyle Lowry isn't the next Chris Paul like CXbby said he was. Both Lowry and CXbby got to see what the real Chris Paul looks like tonight.

Ariza did his thing tonight, no doubt. 9-17 from the field with 6 steals... can't ask for much more from your starting 3.

You forgot about him locking fools gold down, lol. Lowry can play like cp3 for a month, but cp3 can play like cp3 for a season.

it's crazy huh? when we're floppin all over the place the refs are "good" but once we get a taste of our own medicine then all of a sudden the refs make "horrible calls".

i didn't see most of the game, but from the box score it looks a lot like this game was won at the FT line

The rockets scored 38 in the 1st and finished with 90 something. The cold reality is, the rockets will let u in the game. They have 1 good defender in the starting lineup and when the Bees tighten the defense down, the rockets couldnt do anything. Basically, it turned into a playoff type game and the rockets responded accordingly. Paul,Ariza, and Jack were difference makers. Okefor and Ariza were great defensively.

Ariza would be the type of guy who shoots 30% usually but plays like scottie pippen against his old team.

all good points. but when i see a doubled up FT disparity like 26 to 13, i also have to think that played a factor in as well -- especially when the teams are more or less evenly matched (in the most recent matchups the FT's were even or the rox got more)

I don't like big leads in the 1st qtr. Teams with those leads rarely hold onto that lead by halftime, or even win? A Suns-Rockets game under JVG is the only time I can think of where the game was won easily by the leading team but that game was blown out in the first few minutes.

Didn't watch the game. I'm surprised to see no fans blaming Scola for this, at least in the last 2 pages.
Also, surprising to see no inside player from them scored a lot.

Sorry, forgot to ask, was it another brick rain, like the loss against the Kings?

They missed several consecutive lay up attempts to close out the game.

Yeah, but you have to admit the Hornets packed the paint many of the times layups were attempted; some of our players had a very difficult time even getting to the rim and all of those shots were really contested. Only served to demonstrate yet again how much we need a nice, tall interior prescence. Good defense on the Hornet's part, to give them their due.

Related thought: It's too bad Dragic didn't get some more chances to make more threes; he looked very good last night, best I remember seeing him since he came to the Rockets. Makes you thoughtful about how he might perform in the playoffs; last night he performed well under pressure.

To read the last paragraph makes me sad, but it does rather seem that way, doesn't it? The NBA appears to be heading towards having only a few really really good teams, and a whole bunch of others that really don't stand much of a chance.

It does no good to whine, but it's a fair statement to say that it does tend to the take fun out of the sport.
