No proof absolutely to back this up, I was just thinking about it the other day.

Do you think "the Squid" might have resisted against going to the D-League? I ask this for a couple reasons:

    1) There's no reason he shouldn't be there. It's become increasingly clear he wasn't in our rotation plans, even when desperate for another wing (Budinger's injury). Going to the D-League would have allowed him to get on the court and get more comfortable learning and running the offense that the Rockets run. I'd say his biggest weakness right now is his inability to fit in within the offense -- what better way to learn to acclimate yourself than by getting 30MPG in the D-League?

    2) We know how he looks down at the D-League. When he got sent down last time, we got "wow I really started appreciating basketball after living like that" articles when he returned. He looks at is as a punishment, as a "you're not good enough for NBA so you're here." Obviously, the Rockets look at the D-League much differently.

Do you think the Rockets approached TWill about the possibility of being sent to the D-League?

Hard to say...Couldn't the rockets just inactivate him? Has he been dressing every game? They may feel that he's not going to learn much because the NBDL did seem too easy for him. They may think it's better to have him watch NBA action and practice with this team instead. They can keep a closer eye on him and these players will do a better job of keep him in line and focused.

He'd do well in the D-League. Maybe Adelman didn't want more pressure to play the guy. If he performed well - all the more reason to give him minutes in a lineup that started Budinger (who only contributes when he is hot). Adelman doesn't want a ball-stopper out there.

He was active for a few games before he had surgery... so I'm thinking its unlikely that they wanted him back in the dleague.

I don't know what abdominal thing he had surgery on but I would imagine that's the main reason why we haven't seen him on the bench or such for weeks

I would think it's mainly the Abdominal surgery that's causing the inactivity.

There's only a few games left, the Rockets probably just want him to sit out the rest of the season and recover properly

Normally, I'd agree with you about the abdominal injury, but I just don't think it's the reason in this case. When asked if TWill would get a shot with Budinger's injury, Adelman's response was along the lines of "..others deserve to play more."

I didn't mean this as a "where is he? banished?" thread; I just thought it was interesting that TWill never made it to the D-League to work on running the offense.

If he did, it was another bad career move for him. He could have been playing this whole time instead of sounding like an idiot on twitter.

Can't we not send him down next year? I think you can only send down rookies and sophmores.

    Speculation asside... by observation....

-The guy has been inactive, but not traveling with the team, and hasnt been seen on the bench in street clothes

(not sure if anyone has been to a recent game and saw him sitting at the end of the bench, because I havent. Correct me if Im wrong though)

-Tweeted the other day, in the middle of a game, that he was watching a movie.... hmmm...

    By observation he is-

-Officially on the roster, but not with the team until training camp next summer or after the lockout of 2011. The remainder of the season he (was...SPECULATION =Asked to be, was asked by the coaching/front office, injured beyond belief, ect.) not to be with the team.

The Rockets have done a good job of deflecting and hiding whatever issue/situation has happened here to the point where fans have no idea what happened to their prospect other than that was a waste of a potential late first round pick.

My Opinion(speculation) - Obviously Terrence will want to get paid so he most likely will be around for training camp next season until the Rockets can get him off the roster for something in return. Of all the Rockets on the current roster he is the most likely to NOT be a Rocket next season. If they can move him, Im sure they will.

Thabeet and Hill are ahead of him in the "most likely Not to bea Rocket next season" category.

I disagree. Twill has punched his own ticket out of here with his attitude.

Thabeet, I think we will work with at least for the foreseeable future.

    I respectfully disagree with that.

No way they traded Battier(expiring contract) for a 6Mil increase in salary in a new CBA year for a player they werent wanting to actually play.

As far as Jordan goes... well, he's shown signs, but he's second on the list to get moved if they could get someone back in return to replace the Center position, however he has proved he can be productive in short spurts.

Watch what they do with Thabeet. They're putting lipstick on the pig to sell him at the next auction. He's an expiring contract next season unless they pick up his option. They're not going to pick him up for another season unless they feel they can make him look better and trade him to somebody else if they haven't already moved him before it's time to pick up his option. They're gonna hopefully make him look respectable then trade him before they have to pick up his option to some other team that wants to experiment with him.

    Watch it happen.

He is far, far toooo good for the dleague.

Putting him down there would have hurt his game even further, and it would kill the respect of the league itself when Terrence is dropping 35-10-10.

Maybe getting T-Will was strickly a Morey move and Adelman was dissappointed in the way he was running his system. So he benched T-Will to get under Moreys skin while Morey is dying to get T-will some playing time. Adelman might have felt that Morey has all of the control in the worl and would not get a player that fits the system making his relationship with Les bitter not being able to compromise. Pure speculation of course.
