It is a rare "charity" that actually spends more money on its reason for existence than for its administration. I never give any money to United Way for that reason -- 90% to administrative costs and 10% to people in need. They may have changed but I doubt it.

For example, I thought Sean Hannity generated a lot of money for wounded veterans but discovered most of the donations went for private planes, luxury hotels, etc. Bill O'Reilly actually gets donations to where he says they go. I looked into a lot of wounded warrior programs, conservative and liberal, and I am mostly unimpressed. The same is true for the blind -- the agencies are a great benefit for the sighted!

I urge everyone to give to charities. I also urge you to look a little more closely as to how and where the money is spent before you do.

it's "Nonprofit that employed Bristol Palin."

Just think conservatives especially alleged Christians want to defund the food stamp, SSI and welfare programs and have all the poor kidsand old folks supported by charity.

I see the argument over and over again by conservaatives, who like to feign concern for the poor, and say it can all be handled with charity.

 

Per wikipedia Bristol Palin can never be an unwed teen mother again. She was born in 1990. So she is cured of this afflcition. Maybe the money she got from the foundation allowed her to buy condoms without mom finding out.
