Disney Cruises have a Kids Club, in which my son will spend an entire day without complaint. I actually get to relax while on vacation!!!

In general, Disney cruises are expensive but worth it, if you have a family. The food is good and the entertainment is excellent. They have a movie theater which show they show current in-theater Disney movies. They have stage shows at night which are high quality productions. Around the clock, they have character appearance where the kids get to meet, to take a picture with and to have a signature from a Disney character.

We are taking an Alaska Disney Cruise this summer, our fourth Disney cruise. I can't wait :D

Yeah, but how long were you "in port" actually doing something/visiting sites vs. sitting on a "floating hotel"? With a plane, you're there in a few hours. With a boat, a lot of your time is spent just getting from place to place. Or am I wrong? I honestly don't know.

So a typical 7 day cruise will have 3 ports of call. Each port will usually arrive sometime in the morning with you deboarding around 9am or so. Then you go do whatever you want to do and usually have to be back by 5pm or so. So it's pretty much all day. The other 4 days will be travel days on board the ship. You can call it a floating hotel but a floating casino is a more apt name. You can gamble, eat, swim, go see shows (stand up, magic, broadway), shop, and just hang out. I think it's great.
