Thanks. The first time, I still ate whatever I wanted, really. But the biggest problem was I refused to stop drinking the black beer. That light stuff doesn't do anything for me. Now, I count my calories using Myfitnesspal.com (check it out if you haven't. It's awesome) and I eat 6 times a day, drink more water than I thought possible and have a veggie with every lunch and dinner. Mostly raw broccoli and carrots. I also gave up most processed foods. Nothing from a box or a can (i.e. Lean Cuisines or Chef-boyardee). They're just crammed full of sodium. I have chicken, turkey or fish every day for lunch at work. It seems strict, but once you get used to it, it's terrific. I never thought I'd be able to do the six times a day thing, but it's awesome. I'm almost never hungry...except after Kenop X because it burns a ridiculous amount of calories. Oh, and I cut back SEVERELY on the beers.
No way. You can do a custom variation of the programs but doing just one is not gonna work. <insert tonyism about mixing it up> For myself, I am taking it easy on the cardio stuff. I am not overweight but "soft" (stopped working out and playing ball since my knee injury). So I mainly focus on building muscle and gaining strength.
Maren from Chest/Back did hardcore porno films back in the day, and I read on another forum that Tony did some softcore p*rn.

Hahaha that's Katie. The squeal-y interior designer from Back & Biceps (did that one today). Maren is the chick in Chest & Back. As obnoxious as Tony can be, I'd totally love to see some of his "work"...
Dammit, you're right. I've been doing the "Lean" program so long (you don't do Chest & Back or back & biceps until about week 9) that I got 'em mixed up.
My Crossfit gym put this photo up yesterday, and I got a chuckle out of it: Don't get me wrong I really respect P90X. I've tried it several times, and was so sore that I couldn't keep going. But I still thought it was funny.
Hey, those Power 90 Master Series workouts are no joke either. I wanted a change from Yoga-X so I did the P90 UML video today. They have you doing things like plyo push-ups, pike press, sphinx push-ups, chatarunga run, etc.. Also, some of the ab exercises are even more brutal than ab-ripper x. There's one move that is a combination of fifer scissors and mason twist (you do both at the same time). There definitely are some much easier moves mixed in, though. Overall, it's easier than a typical p90-x video, but good for a change of pace. The production value is a LOT crappier than p90-x, though, although Tony is the same. Two free Power 90 videos are included in the P90x set -- Cardio Intervals and UML (Upper Middle Lower).
Seems like a deterrent to me. P90X is extreme enough for the average person out there. Reading this, I would NOT want to try crossfit lol.
Yup if I saw that I'd probably turn around immediately. Just finished Yoga X. God, I love yoga sosososo much. I think it's the main reason I want to do a second round of P90X instead of Insanity.
I did Chest/Back & Ab Ripper X yesterday. I must be incredibly weak on my left side because my left pec, lat and forearm are alot more sore than my right. I do know one thing....I am waaaay outta shape!
You guys have inspired me to get back on board. I was doing it for about 2 months, and had what imo, were great results. I got into a wreck, and totaled my truck. Since then, I never got back into it. It's no excuse, because that was almost 1.5yrs ago lol. After this winter, and a cruise I had in the spring. I'm softer than I've ever been. Starting it in about an hour.
Finished my first day yesterday. I've not worked out that much in a year and a half. I work 12-12 Mon-Fri and have used it as an excuse, no more. I'm doing this!
