It would be sweet however, I don't want the Madden curse. We're cursed enough as it is

It would be pretty badass to see a Texan on the cover but I don't want any part of that Madden Curse.

It's so silly it's not even worth dignifying with a serious response, but that has been shown to be pretty much a bunch of hogwash.

I thought the same. No Tom Brady(Danny Woodhead --seriously?!) or Peyton Manning?!

Its really not that surprising after you look at some of the other choices. The 12th man? Jordan Gross and Jake Long....offensive tackles really? Carlos Dunlap from the Bengals? He had a promising rookie year but was a situational player.

Texans get a 7th round pick(Mr. Irrelevant pick--last pick of the draft) for the Dunta Robinson deal.

    - Where will the Dallas Cowboys go in round one? Evidently the team is not in love with Prince Amukamara and won’t use the 9th selection on him. This on the heels of sources telling us the team will cut veteran Terence Newman. All signs continue to point to an offensive tackle, specifically one that can play the right side. Sources told us the team will cut Marc Columbo and Leonard Davis. They hope to bring Davis back at a smaller salary. At the same time they hope to resign Doug Free and Kyle Kosier. Dallas then plans to shop the 9th pick and trade down to grab their right tackle. Sources have told us their is already a plan in place with a team that holds a mid-first round pick if either Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton are still on the board when Dallas is called to the clock. Right now sources have told us Gabe Carimi sits atop their wish list as they feel he is the only player they feel can quickly move into the starting line-up. Tyron Smith can’t be far behind as the Cowboys are bringing the USC junior in for a visit.

Should we go after Terrence Newman, Columbo, and Davis?

Schuab got the team together for a workout at Rice University. Nice to see him take leadership!

Yeah first off every time you reply, not only do we have to delete his posts but yours too, so don't comment on trolls/spammers and it will save me a little time. Second, Clutch has control of banning. I have sent him a message, but he is probably busy with something from his real life and not able to take care of this guy yet. He will get to it when he can. For now just keep reporting the posts from this guy and I will keep deleting them.

Point taken, but when I replied to that, I didn't know it was a spammer. I thought it was just someone being an idiot.

This is great news, but I'm fearful someone might trade up to 10 to get him.

GM Rick Smith on “Mr. Irrelevant” pick at end of 7th: We’ve had a little bit of success with that round. It is a relevant pick for us. It has been full-speed. We’ve got the preliminary board set, but we’ll spend the next month really, really studying our board.

Smith on no free agency prior to draft: We’ve said for years that you don’t draft for need. It doesn’t change how we approach the draft and filling the needs on our team."

More with Smith tomorrow on HT.com

    Hilarious.

The Texans' best draft pick since Andre Johnson was a "need" pick.

(Andre was a "need" pick, too!)

If I had to guess right now, I'd say Robert Quinn - OLB . . .looking forward to the draft.

Could only hope but I think he may be gone by taken. I'd say Quinn or Amukamara but have a feeling they'll be picked right before.
