In other news, Steve Francis is not as good as Tony Parker after all.

Wait, what? Frogs are on plates. You can order frogs at many restaurants right here in Houston.

    I don't understand what's going on here.

Not only they're in the Playoffs (that's not even a question), they will be one of the top teams in the league. Maybe the BEST!!

All things being equal, Yao does help the Rockets - and by a lot. But the team chemistry isn't there when Yao is playing.

And let's be honest and true about the situation; if Yao Ming does happen to come back, it will be as a role player. His days of being the center of the offense (no pun intended) are a thing of the past. I think the chances are slim to none that he gets back to dominating form again. It could happen, but that isn't likely.

I think Ming is more suited at backing up Chuck Hayes. Hayes has been averaging 8 points and 8 rebounds per game, it has been a productive season for him.

With Yao healthy the Rockets would have homecourt advantage (1-4th) seed if you ask me.

He fills everything the rockets need.

    Superstar...check.
    Center...check.

    Too bad about that though.

Team chemistry woudln't be a problem with Yao. Yao can shoot from outside better than Hayes, Yao can pass, Yao draws a lot attension, that would open up games for Martin, Bud and Lowry.

"If" Yao is healthy, the best lineup would be Yao - Hayes - Lee - Martin-Lowry. That teams will be great on both ends.

Well, it's a little too late for that.

If Roy and Oden were healthy, Portland may well be the best team in the nba right now, but thats ifs for you.

I want Yao back next season. I don't know why people don't seem to want that. At the right price, he could be the steal of the century.

If we had the most dominant presence in the post on our team, at the position we lack the most we'd be in the playoffs?

I am not against having him around, but the Rox need to play this offseason as if Yao is retired. Plain and simple, get a legit center and form a team as if Yao was retired, if he gets to play the better, but the days of counting Yao as a contributing member of the team have to be over if this team is going to play for something.
Then, if Yao is here and can play, better, but Yao playing should be the B plan, not the A plan, because it never works, and when playing your B plan, you get really close, but its hard to make it.
