DHoward doesn't play that good against Miami, shown in all games that Miami has played against them this year. Wade Lebron >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Howard Nelson.
Dwight Howard, although he does not score higher than his season average, grabs more rebounds than his season average. And I love how you said Orlando would be lucky to win against the Heat, then start preaching on about using facts. Their series are tied 2-2. The Heat won't go 4-0 or 4-2 against Orlando, I can bet you on that.
If you are honestly implying Chris Bosh is one of the answers to Dwight Howard... Well... Better luck next time.
Lebron >>> Howard in terms off the way the impact the game. Lebron plays all 5 positions on the court and affects every aspect of the game, where DHoward, as shown in the 4 games Miami has played them, hasn't had a big impact at all. Miami's frontcourt issues are really over hyped to be honest, as Lakers big got outplayed by Bosh and Co both times.
You love pulling facts out of your ass don't you? In the first game the Magic won against the Heat, Dwight had 24 points, 18 rebounds 1 assist and 1 block. He also put all of the Heats' big men in foul trouble In the second game the Magic won against the Heat, Dwight had a statline of 5 blocks, 18 rebounds, 14 points and 5 assists. Dwight was only ineffective in the first game they played, but that was because he fouled out (not surprisingly). In the second game they lost, Dwight had 16 rebounds, 18 points. 13 freethrows but he missed TEN. So yes, he needs to work on his freethrows, but he once again put the Heat's big men in foul trouble. Open yours eyes, Dwight has a huge impact on the Heat. They have to double team him everytime around.
I've watched all 4 games, and Dwight was not a huge factor, as he was in foul trouble most of the games, and the Heat have played him well. If you have watched all 4 games, and are not going by box scores, then we can talk.
the only teams who can beat the heat are teams with a great PG + great team defense. 1) the PG position is the heat's worst position defensively. rondo/rose/paul and a lot of other PGs have really destroyed the heat. however, i expect to see a lot of wade/lebron on these PGs if chalmers or bibby are unable to slow them down, which is very likely to be the case 2) team defense. that is why only boston and chicago are the most likely teams to beat them. these 2 are the best defensive teams in the L BY FAR. they have great interior defense (boston w/ KG; bulls w/ noah/asik along with strong perimeter defense. they can pack the paint effectively to force lebron and wade to be perimeter oriented. 3) their lack of a center or bosh's softness are overstated. i don't think any other teams have a shot at beating the heat in a 7 game series besides those 2 teams: bulls/boston.
Why is it that you never ever use facts to retort? You had your tail between your legs and ran off in the other thread concerning Chris Bosh when you couldn't come up with a single fact that suggests Chris Bosh is currently a top 5 PF. Now you are using the exact same weak sauce argument "You haven't watched it, so you don't know what you're talking about". I'm not going by boxscore, I'm going by solid facts. Unlike you, who called others out for not using facts. Yeah, I watched the game, and I can say Lebron had less of an impact to the Heat than Juwan Howard. If you don't agree with me you have no idea what you are talking about. See what I did there?
I left the Chris Bosh thread, because it wasn't worth talking to people who had no idea what they were talking about. Most people know on this Board, why Chris Bosh is so hated. What facts do you need to know, that Orlando will not beat Miami. The fact that Orlando's biggest weakness is there perimeter D, as they have no one who can guard Wade and Lebron. And do you think that Bass will be able to hold out against Bosh? List a player from Orlando, that will be able to guard Wade Lebron , and a player who can play on Bosh. Miami for the first time in a year, is nearly a full strength, and no teams want to face them in the finals, just go read other fan boards to see what they say about Miami, and the only threat to the Lakers this year appears to be Miami.
Octavianus' signature retorts: The "Chris Bosh is hated here because he didn't sign with the Rockets" card "You don't know what you're talking about" http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2011.html Says here Orlando is tied for 4th in opponent FG% (.437), 10th in 3-point defense (.347). Miami isn't really far ahead of those numbers, being 3rd and 8th in those categories respectively, so any notion of the Heat being more of a defensive juggernaut than the Magic is false. Wanna hear something funny? Chris Bosh's numbers against the Magic are among the WORST against any Heat opponent. I kid you not. Who does he play worse against? Cleveland, with superstars like Ryan Hollins and J.J. Hickson playing him. Chicago, understandable, because he really isn't a top 5 PF. Sorry. For someone who fancies himself as "informed," you're really not.
