So a Sunni like Mathloom is or was or whatever?

What does the Quran say about trying to smear someone with a lie (adeelsiddiqui's rep comment)?

    Bleh.

You blame the murderers 100% for the murders, and you separately blame the pastor 100% for stirring up more hatred than usual.

It shouldn't and doesn't have to overlap.

Mathloom, more and more people have realized in the last few days the charade you have been pulling here for quite a while...you make outrageous statements, try to equate relatively insignificant actions by non-Muslims with murders committed by Islamists, then put in a bunch of qualifiers although this is clearly what you did...more people are seeing it for what it is now.

So is "stirring up hatred" by burning a book even remotely reasonable cause for someone to kill somebody?

If not, then he's not liable for jackdoodle. Other than being opinionated (and to some, distasteful), which last time I checked, isn't against the law.

To answer the first part, no. Stirring up hatred is not at all reasonable cause to kill someone.

But to comment on your second statement - that's more tricky. There are two parts to the word "blame" as I see it. 1) There's the legal aspect of it. And legally speaking you're right. Burning the Quran isn't against the law and I will fully and always defend his right to do what he did. He is not liable in this regard.

    2) But there's also the moral aspect of "blame". Shouldn't he feel somewhat guilty that because of his actions, many innocent lives were taken? Yes, I know directly speaking it wasn't his actions that led to these deaths; it was the mindset of these extremists - people who absolutely should be held accountable for their reprehensible acts. But can't we agree that his actions were unwise and ill-advised? I mean, why else would politicians and religious leaders all over the nation have condemned his stunt the first time he tried to do it? They knew nothing good would come of it. The causation is there, however indirectly - and you can't deny that.

Morality is entirely subjective and is a large component of free speech: under the law, you have a guaranteed and protected right to say things that piss me off, and vice versa.

    You don't quite get it.

-Pastor burns Koran, knowing and hoping they commit violence to prove his point
-Extremist go on a killing spree and justify their actions on the pastor and to further prove their point and intimidate the rest of the world.

As others have stated, these guys will find any reason to kill. They kill simply because you're not muslim. If you don't think so, go walk a "peaceful" muslim village in Afghanistan and see what happens.

There is nothing you can do to keep them from killing. Every non muslim could kill themselves and leave the world with only muslims and they will still continue to kill. Its not religion that encourage and provokes them, its a way of life. Christian sects in 3rd world countries do mass kills just as Muslims.

For a man who has everything, his family, his nice house in the suburb, good job, enough food on the table to last a year and good health, its hard to rationalize a man who has absolutely nothing but the air he breathes and his beliefs that the afterlife can't be worse than the hell he lives in now.

So it's ok for the pastor to be intolerant but not ok for Islamic fundamentalists?

    Spurious logic.

The pastor should not be blamed. I agree. But he knew the risk, and he knowingly did this act out of hate. I'm not religious, but I thought pastors were suppose to be men of god and peace.

This pastor is just as intolerant as the Taliban. Act of free speech? or act of hate?

You don't burn the Koran or the Bible and make a spectacle out of it unless you are intentionally trying to hurt and anger people. He knew what would happen and he burned the Bible to instigate the violence since it would protray muslims badly.

i take it back, he is to blame as well.

Do you have a list of our names saved in a text file that you copy paste in every one of your pathetic posts?

What Islamophobe cult do you belong to? Are you allowed to share, or is secrecy part of the secret code?

Why are you so angry? Do you enjoy expressing hatred, and rage? Is this part of your therapy? If anyone insults you back, you tend to cry. Will you be able to handle it this time ?

They're hypocrites but what can you expect from people who justify murdering innocent people in their peanut sized brains.

Don't blame him for his commitment to the cause. It isn't easy being an Islamophobe. Staying up all night to answer replies, googling all day to find the right articles (ones that make Islam look bad), and even posting during Rocket games - it is a demanding life. Give the man his due credit, his crusading spirit is strong...;)

The sad thing is, whenever he isnt here hating on Islam, he is on flyertalk acting like an online attorney. LOL... I wonder when he gets actual time to fly or attorney when he is posting all the time.

I hope Jones and the fundamentalists all burn in hell.

Clearly the "Muslims" who committed the murders do not follow the teachings of the Quran.

And clearly Jones has never read the Quran (at least with an open mind, instead of with hate).

They are all ****ing crooks. **** all of them.
