wow. its a good thing we're only down 9... not taking care of the ball not defending their outside game well not shooting the 3 well not penetrating much not getting fast break points not getting calls their jumpers are falling like crazy, whether their guarded or not... sometimes theres nothing you can do... but that Teague layup and a couple of other defensive lapses are inexcusable. CMON guys!!!
No, they stunk it up early on and then played with great mediocrity throughout the season. Honestly, something about the mentality/attitude needs to change. I'm not sure if it's Rick or Morey but this team always plays better AFTER the trade deadline (with the exception of our 22 win season).
putting your hopes on a team which has won 13 road games all year was always going to end badly, the pacers are going to get so badly beaten in the playoffs it will be sad.
Budinger gets under my skin for the simple reason that he seems to be content just going through the motions... I don't know how many times I've seen him get abused on the defensive end, drop his head, and proceed to jog back down the floor like everything's gravy. He looks like the kind of kid that's been fed with a silver spoon his entire life, and just doesn't understand hard work, determination, and grit. He's satisfied with scraping by on his average 3-pt stroke and OK bounce (by NBA standards). He doesn't play a lick of defense, and looks like he could care less. He'll get stroked by the board every once in a while for sinking 3-4 treys, but he's not fit to shine Courtney Lee's shoes in the grand scheme of things. Lee's more passionate, team-oriented, and willing to do the dirty work in order to chalk up a W. Sorry for the rant, but I'm sick of watching this sissy lumber up and down the floor like he's God's gift to mankind when he hasn't accomplished a damn thing at this level. Hayes needs to slap this kid across the face, and tell him to wake the **** up, because these kinds of opportunities don't come around on the reg. He has all of the tools to be a solid defender... I've convinced myself that he's reached his ceiling, for the most part. This is the Bud, the finished product. He just doesn't have the IT factor, and appears satisfied with his role on the team.
Yes because Hill is the answer to all our problems and Rick is scared of Hill, so thats why he plays SO MANY MINUTES!
