So people who bought seats can't wait 5 minutes. It wasn't too bad at least no one told us to sit down. And there were way too many spurs fans. It pissed me off so much when they we cheering.

    No they really don't.

First of all, the Rockets have played less home games than both. Second of all, some teams have more seats to sell because they have bigger arenas. Third of all, ticket prices aren't the same in every market. I don't know what sort of promotions these teams do just to put fans in seats, either.

But the Rockets are right in the middle of the pack in terms of percentage of seats sold....after a 13 years of winning exactly 2 playoff series. Ahead of the Pistons and the Wizards. They sell 90% of their seats. See link below.

I was at the game and during that possession, everyone was standing and when Lowry hit the basket, everybody went nuts.

    Also..

    I'm a 30+yr Rockets fan, and you're telling me I suck.

You may want to reword the title...or get ****ed.

That promo might only be good for when the T-Wolves play the Rockets.

Probably because those people are still trying to finish the huge bite that they took out of a hot dog. I mean, we do live in one of the fattest cities in the U.S. that is Houston.

I fear that these people are just eating the entire time and/or are too lazy to stand up.

Lowry hits a three, parents' children go "Yay!", children ask the parents why they aren't cheering, parents say "I'm still trying to rest from the long walk from the parking lot".

Maybe this belongs in the "mcgrady jersey" thread, but I was sickened when the camera on multiple times focused on this man wearing a Kobe jersey. He should have been sent home and banned. I wouldn't mind if the lakers had been playing.

I also saw this hot chic wearing an awesome gray rockets shirt, with the retro logo and yellow/red stripes on the sleeve. I'm on a mission to find one did not see one at nba.com.

Anyways, I thought for the number of people that were still at the game, they made a lot of noise.

Too bad people don't stand up until the PA announcer beckons them to.

The crowd did get up before the Scola shot. I'll give us that. I love seeing us rise to our feet in unison. It's a cool visual.

I remember back when it used to be mid-way through the fourth quarter. Now it's just the last few possessions. :(

I think part of it has to do with public transportation. Going to the Rockets game costs gas, money for parking, plus the ticket. In other cities, you hop on a subway and you're there for next to nothing. I know the Celtics have a subway stop that connects to the arena, and I'm pretty sure DC does also. I think expansion of the MetroRail would help big time, unfortunately I don't see that happening in a sprawling city like Houston.

I completely agree with that. Parking in the garage is $15 alone if you don't have a pass, and your bound to spend something on the ridiculous beer and food prices. Makes for an expensive night regardless of the seats.
