This is his main issue and this should be the staffs main focus. Teach him footwork-footspeed and ability to react to the NBA defense.

Its good to hear he is receptive to coaching and willing to put in work. I think he is worth keeping as a project. Time off the court with practice/development sessions will determine his tme on the court.

He is worth keeping, I agree. But that $6MM price tag in the last year of his contract is a bit steep. Hopefully he proves he's worth it in the next 12 months.

Click open futurecast player, then click calender, then select the date of the game you want to watch, then click on the RGV game. It actually has pretty good quality video, though the announce team (and the quality of the game) leaves something to be desired.

Thabeet is on the floor now.I'm not sure how many minutes Thabeet has played to this point, but he still looks a little sluggish and winded on the blocks.

RGV looks alot better today as a team.

They are looking more for Thabbet on offense, and isolating him in the post, exposing his flaws, but I am liking his attitude, getting frustrated with the misses but getting back on D quickly.

Looking more active and less stagnant, boxing out people but still not imposing his body on the D glass.

I predict his stats will be worst then in the first game, and the haters will hate, but I like him better in this game, just more active.

But you can clearly see that he is thinking alot, and not doing it naturally, that is the process that we hope takes some but not alot of time. He is thinking so much more today then he was last game, that is missing the timing on some easy blocks (easy for him).

Let´s hope these 3 fouls in the first half are not a problem, and he is able to play big mins, he needs more burn.

The best compliment I can give to Thabeet is, RGV lost the lead when he went to the bench with foul trouble.

And by the way, Jerel McNeal, great baller.

I agree with your take that he looked a step slow because he might have been thinking through the game plan, but I don't think he played as well as he did in his first game.

Hopefully in his next game he can go back to being more instinctive when he goes for blocks.

On a more positive note, he did log more minutes. So, if what the coach mentioned still holds true, its because he is more effective within the game plan.

if he is willing to put in work i think he could turn things around. working during the summer alot could help too, just like jermaine taylor did hoping he would finally get more minutes out of it.

He may be working a lot of overtime in practice and that could be why. This kid needs a ton of work so I hope he can get some things clicking in his head down at RGV.

He absolutely sucked in his 2nd game. 35 minutes, 5 rebounds, 2 points, 3 blocks. He shot 1 from 7 and had +/- of -22.

Good to see him log 35 mins, I hope he can learn from this experience and improve in the 2 remaining games.

Saw the first half of the second game, and that was all I could stomach. Tabeet was pretty much watching the other guys play. When he is being boxed out, you could post a sign over his head saying "This guy has me boxed out," and you wouldn't have to move it until his opponent gets the rebound. Then he trots down to the other side. Doesn't move like a basketball player at this stage of his career.

I know we are playing right now, but if you can watch the RGV game, do it, because Thabeet is looking great.

The team is now running plays for him, he looks better, more involved on offense, and he has better legs under him. One thing that I am really impressed is his jump shot, he actually has a good looking jump shot, and most importantly, it goes in, atleast tod playing time, experience, even if the competition is not that great, he needs to create new habits, and it sure looks like his hook shot is more under control, instead of just throwing it like he used to do.

One more step in his development, it is all about legs and confidence.
