I will say, they had three broken bats hits but Lyons kept getting the ball up...decent to good lineups will kill Lyons pitching like that. Heartbreaking loss but plenty of positives to come out of this, once I stop crying I will look at them.
Dude has to be one of the least electric closers in baseball. Should have left the kid in that pitched the eight.
Huh? What choke? Their batters are better than our pitchers, is all. This is no choke. I'd call a 4-0 to lose 5-4 a choke job... but it was just clutch hitting on them. Give the PHILLIES due credit. It was a great game. You see what our hitting and pitching is capable. Sure, the bullpen should get better.
Wow, not a single strikeout for the Astros rotation. Not that I'm getting onto Myers, he did an AWESOME job....I just found it strange. Pugs
complete misery. it isn't too early to demote/cut that loser from the team. everybody knows he sucks and that last year was a complete fluke. he is a closer without a strikeout pitch. 6 hits. completely inexcusable. and predictable. i'm sick to my stomach right now. gonna be a long, miserable season if this is any indication. all sports bettors....load up on the phillies tomorrow and let it ride on sunday if you want to make some money.
