Angelika Film Center closes its doors

Hells yeah!!!! I can finally catch up on all the indie films coming out, WOOHOO!!!!

 

As long as they have that monday deal, I'll be happy. But I highly doubt it

It's official now, it will reopen Nov. 1. Does anybody know what they mean by reserved seating only?

 

It means you get to pick your seat out when you purchase your ticket. Assigned seating

 

That might just be for the Sundance Festival.

In LA we have the arclight that has reserved seating. It's the best. I love it. I used to get to the movie at least 30 minutes before it started so I could sit where I wanted. Now I show up 5 minutes before, and my seat is reserved.

 

We'll wait for you in the parking garage.

Is there a difference between a place like this and River Oaks Theater?

I go to River Oaks a lot and love it

 

If they serve beer, they can assign whatever they want.

 

It's bigger, so more selection of movies. Parking is easier. It's downtown. It'll be much nicer with over $2M in renovations.

 

How is something like this possible in a city that (supposedly) doesn't care about the arts?

 

Ghetto people just love those indie and foreign flicks
