Yes, it's kind of shocked me the lousy customer service I got at this verizon store and again over the phone from the technician, though he did try. I will try another store tomorrow and if they are unable to resolve the situation then its back to sprint. Perhaps I'll try ATT's LTE again when they roll out.
It really depends on the area as well. I went to the Verizon store by West Road and 45 and they were complete douchebags. I then went to the store in Spring, Texas and they helped me out and everything. Just explain that it's a known issue and that you have the right to get an exchange. See this thread, show it to VZW http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Mobile/thread?tid=2618c3105f74151f&hl=en people who get it exchanged say it worked.
After a factory restart I am unable to add a google account at all, but once I log into youtube I'm able to add my gmail account and it seems to work ok, but upon opening up marketplace it immediately crashes. Without that youtube trick the marketplace just hangs and tells me I don't have a reliable connection.
after you are able to sign into youtube go to menu, settings, then go to application, narrow it down to all, go to market, and put clear data, clear cache, and foce stop
Possible time to say bye bye to unlimited 4g http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003179
Try this 0.5 Take out your verizon sim, and then put it back in 1. Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the Power button for two seconds and selecting Power off. 2. Press and hold the Volume Down button, then press and hold Power. 3. Continue to hold both buttons until you see the Android logos appear on the screen. 4. Press Volume Down to toggle to the Factory Reset option. 5. Press the Power button to select the Factory Reset option. Then, it'll hard reset the phone and try it then. Try the youtube thing first, and then clear the market cache.
I'd recommend getting the LG G2x from t-mobile you'd have to sign a 2 year contract, but think of it this way, you get the discounts of a 2 year contract, and when ATT violates your contract a year from now, you can just opt out and get a new phone with a different company cha-ching It's good seeing LG take a step forward and giving its consumers the 'pure' google experience, they're doing that with the G2x and the Optimus 2x, neither are 'google' phones
Open Youtube App and then Go to Menu Settings > Add Gmail Account and Enable sync on the new google account. Shoot me an e-mail, I'll try to help.
I tried the steps you posted above but I'm still stuck at the same point. Once I log into youtube whenever I open marketplace it will crash. The exact text is "An error has occurred. Please try again later."
I cleared data but there is nothing in the cache to clear. That button is greyed out. I appreciate the help trying to get this fixed. Wish the verizon people I've talked to so far had provided as much help.
You tried that hard reset I listed? With the bbuttons? Oh yeah no worries, I can understand. there is another work around iI know of but its up to you. You could create another gmail account and forward your mail to that account and then once you get that account working perfectly on your phone you can add the original. Plus if you need to reply to an email you can sselect which address it will come from.
Yeah I gave that a try, still no different. I can get my gmail account to sync once I log into youtube. It's the marketplace that is the thing thats messed up.
Ah, damn man. Well you can show VZW that. Go to a different store and speak to a manager, or better yet call VZW and have them place a note on your account. You can also bull**** with them, and threaten to cancel. Be sure to call a corp store around you before you go and ask if they have T-bolts.
I just tried to buy the T-Bolt on VZW online and can't get to the section for choosing the data plan. It looks like they may be making changes online right now. Can anyone else confirm? This blows major donkey balls.
Good news. I decided to give Verizon tech support one more try over the phone. We walked through some steps like booting the phone in safe mode etc. After about half an hour he agreed that there was something wrong with the phone and said to take it back to the store for an exchange. He said I won't have a problem doing this. So, finally this should be resolved.
How did it go? Kept it? Returned it? Today is the last day to return I believe. I'm keeping, I improved my battery life big time by rooting my phone Now it's pimped out
I just got the T-Bolt earlier this week and love the speed, but I hate Sense. Scionxa, how did you root the phone? That screen looks like Nexus One I just left behind. Thanks in advance.
