Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met here on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of it as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But in a larger sense we can not dedicate - we can not consecrate - we can not hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled, here, have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here, but can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they have, thus far, so nobly carried on. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain; that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
When he said no lay ups, he was talking about for the opposition. I still live in hope for a miracle that gets us into the playoffs, from there it is anyone's Championship to win, we've shown that we can beat anyone on any given day...we played terrible today, with some of our better players having an off night, but Look at how many points we dropped on Stern's darling, and look how close we came to winning. That is Positive! Impossible is Nothing. I believe that we can still win it all, THIS YEAR. READ MY SIG.
it never fails, every year a bandwagon fan always prematurely (in the bedroom Im sure also lol) type up a "offseason" thread long before the seasons over.. deactivate your account if youre not a true fan
Searching to trade for a superstar or upgrading the roster is just a given and will be pursued at all times anyways. So I havent included that in my priorities. My priorities mainly focus on moves I would like the organisation to make and the direction to head. Number 1 pritority To find a center, a mean lean defending, grinding, pounding, rebound grabbing machine. Its way too hard to find a superstar. So if we waste all our efforts there then our other needs wont be fully adressed. Number 2 priority Fire Aldeman and bring in someone like Doug Collins. A perfect coach. He has a good offensive and defensive system. PLus he holds players accountable for misatkes. Meeks got playing time over Turner simply because he played better. Aldeman cost us our season for insisting to play Brooks, Bud, Hill and Miller. Number 3 priority Resign Chuck to 5 year contract. ASAP!! Number 4 priority Decide on YAO. No more gambles. They have to draw a line and ask them selves how many more disruptions are they willing to put up with. If medical reports are all ok then resign to MLE and have him strictly as a back up 5. No more high hopes for this guy so our hearts can be broken and crushed AGAIN. I dont think I can take another one from YAO. Number 5 priority Must get rid of Bud/Hill and Miller. Cancers to this team. Buds 3 point shot is no good anymore and he cant really do anything else too well. Hill is still inconsistant as ever and a knucklehead. His potential is too limted to keep as a "project". Miller is just garbage. Number 6 priority Make a move in the draft either by trading up for a higher pick or by making a trade for other pieces who fits this teams makeup (character, personality) and needs. Number 7 priority Look for upgrades prior to pre-season starts. NO more changes after the season starts. We need as much time as possible to adapt to a new coach and new players. Trades into the season are too risky and disruptive unless they are CP3 or Dwight Howard. Now go to work Morey and Les and dont let me down.
1. Rockets will not be a Champion team if RA is still their coach. 2. make decisions on Yao. If Yao is done, find a good backup. 3. sign Hayes and Landry, Battier(if we have chances on them two) 4. Get rid of Miller
trade scola , thabeet will be a beast next year. Sign a Legit Center for FA or Get a freaknn superstarrr to build around.
