Getting to the free line and scoring inside more is tremedously crucial. We arent going to make the playioffs by constantly jacking up 15-18 footers and 3s like we have been doing all season. I am all for Aldemans system of pushing the ball and lots of ball movement. But I hate his things for emphasising long 2s and 3s. Weak. Scola and Patterson need more plays down low. Dragic and Martin are the only ones that attack the basket. Lee and Bud need to slash more and attack that rim. Lowry can slash too but even he has caught the Aldeman fever and has started relying on long range 2s and 3s now. Controlling boards and tunovers are a must in every game. We are normally OK with our turnovers but suck at controlling boards Philly doesnt really have any size besides Brand. Hawes is as useless as Brad Miller and Speights is erratically inconsistant as Hill. Where we really need huge performances is defensively from our wings and backs. Its Holiday, Meeks, Williams, AI and Thad that do the regular damage. This is where Lee, Lowry and Dragic will need to step up huge. I see AI and Thad man handling Bud all over the court - but that cant be really helped now can it.
Either way i'm pleased with the win/loss record. In the end even if we were to make the playoffs we'd have no shot at a championship and probably lose in 6 to the spurs. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble.
They way they're playing, they have every chance to finish with a 9 game winning streak. Chemistry is a whole lot better than when they played 76rs the last time
If any team that would be considered wacky right now that might beat us is the Clippers. We will blow out any other team under .500. If our bench can stay productive, and not fade like the Miami game. We do have a chance of winning out.
These game against Kings, Clippers and Wolves you claim are easy win.. can easily be traps! I believe we lost to Clippers last time we played them and also I think we have lost to Wolves too. If our players go with the mentality of "easy wins" then rest a sure they we will lose. On the other hand I don't think Lowry would let that happen.
