After the New Jersey game I went on ESPN.com to check the box-score / read the game summary. It's just a tidbit, but I was pleased to read this snippet from an Associated Press author: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=310329017 I don't think Brooks winning it last year makes much of a determining difference; but Love, Aldridge, Westbrook et al. also having career seasons might make it difficult. I'm just glad to see some respect.
don't think he will win it this year. like you said, a lot of players are having career years. to me its kevin love. he is just beasting. but kyle definitely should be considered.
MIP is a demeaning award for crap players. Kyle Lowry is better than that. If he gets MIP he should throw it into the trash bin.
MIP gets a bad rap because many players who "improve" really just benefited from an abnormal usage spike taking advantage of once in a life time opportunities like a team crippled by injuries, never being able to replicate it again in normal conditions. *ahem* However that shouldn't take away from the players who actually did improve, when and if they win the award. With that said Lowry would probably throw it into the trash bin anyways since he is better than that.
No winner of the MIP award has ever won an NBA title. It's a fact. The award is cursed. Let it please stay away from all Rockets players for the entirety of the age of men.
Great candidate for it, but I really do think Kevin Love will get it. Lol, can a rookie get it? If so, it would have to be Blake Griffin- if not ROY.
OHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO The MIP award is cursed I couldn't remember any player who received this award and got any better after that season.

No wonder Lowry has a sore foot... just the thought of him getting the MIP award has leaked bad energy on him.
Nah, that's impossible. There is nothing to compare his "improvement" to. Didn't play a regular season game last year. But ROY is in the bag.
I disagree. I think people won't vote for Lowry because Brooks had won it. Won't want to give to Houston twice in a row, or perhaps suspect that there's something about the Rockets system that inflates the PG role. Of course, Kevin Love's season will make it easy to not vote for Lowry.
