I am going to change the motor oil for my van in town, and also there is some rough stain(not that glaring but noticeable) on the side door so it might need a wax. I always used Mister lube on Kirby before for oil change but do not know the price/quality of work for waxing. Are there any recommendations for an alternative place to do both oil change and wax both in one place?
also anyone have a rec for just an oil change? I think it's midas that I hear has an oil change, tire check and brake check for $20. Pretty sure it doesn't include a fluid check though.
There's a Mister Car Wash a block away from my place that I use for daily washes and oil changes. In addition, every month or so, I get one of my cars waxed and detailed, and they do a good job. Previously, I used to wax that car myself, and it was much better than Mister Car Wash, but I just don't have the time anymore so I'm willing to stomach the less detailed cleaning they can do. ^Using their assembly line service can leave micro-scratches which is why I only use it for my daily driver with white paint.
Does anyone know where I can get a nice thorough lube-job in the Montrose area? I also need some new rims, so maybe a good rim-job as well. Thanks in advance.
Besides Mister Car Wash, Jiffy Lube is solid. Their #1 package is for ~$35, and their national database saves your profile so you can look up at different places across America what you had done last time. I also get copies of their paperwork when selling a car privately as proof of maintenance.
How many miles on your car will you do an oil change? For the time being my van ran 5,000 miles since last oil change(6 months ago!), the meter still says 20% left and I felt the mileage per gallon reduced a bit. So I changed it anyway.
I've never trusted Jiffy Lube. I've seen way too many exposes on various Jiffy Lube locations to ever trust anything one of their guys says.
I'd like to know where you can get both an oil change AND a wax. Don't you have to buy a package at a car wash / lube service place? For me it's 5000 on a Camry or Corolla. Really? That's cool. What make and model is your car?
I just youtubed those exposes. LOL! Good thing my dad beat me if I didn't help him do all our family car repairs as a kid. I do all my car maintenance.
