1) Accept student loan $6250. 2) Register for classes. 3) School deducts tuition, gives refund check for remaining loan funds. 4) Have to drop classes weekend before semester starts due to excess hours at work. 5) School gives second refund check, for dropped classes. 6) Re-check registration website few weeks later just for the heck of it. 7) Total amount due real soon: $6,250. 20 years old, got pulled over, received a ticket for running a red light court date set... slept in, forgot all about it few weeks later, got a letter, there's a warrant out for my arrest... went to downtown court, paid $950 in cash to 'bail myself out'... this was at a time where i was working part time, going to school and had a high car note because i wanted a car that was waaaaaay above my pay grade
