The League [Season 2 on FX]

AWESOME!!!

I have about 35 pages in term papers to write tonight, but I'll have to take a break and catch this.

 

Use it test her. If she can laugh at the show, even without knowing anything about fantasy football, she's a keeper.

 

So the season's at a close now...

Yesterday's two episodes were pretty good...

Pete's Crown Victoria scam was hilarious... but man the season overall was great. I'd prob have to say it was the best comedy series for the fall that I watched. I wish this show was longer than 13 episodes, its really only about 20 mins long, they should extend it another 10 episodes a season.

 

I liked the way it ended. Not with a big crazy twist or anything. Just a solid end.

 

Taco is kind of not funny at all unless he's singing a song.

 

Taco is my least favorite character in the show by far. They try to hard at making his character seem funny.

 

I think that's when he's at his least funny. Besides the first few.

There are parts of the show that are great and then parts of the show that are fall-on-your-face bad and all in same episode.

the ending was rancid.

 

Typical Frat-boy ******* humor can be good when done right.

Ruxin is a douche.

Pete is the normal one.

Andre is the butt of every joke.

Taco is always stoned and eccentric.

Jennie is hot and sassy the typical woman you want to marry.

 

I agree with all that, i just flat out don't like taco, and I'm a lazy stoner.

And "Typical Frat-boy ******* humor" can be funny, but they only do it right half an episode at a time.

 

So, Soooooo true.

 

I considered pete and kevin the douchebags, and only a few episodes ago I really cemented which guy was which.

 

The return of Rafi was GREATNESS!
I was laughing during his entire scene, just a brilliant character.

so what happens next season will the League come back (has it been renewed) if there is a real NFL strike??? anyone know

 

Taco isn't all that funny, but to me the weakest link is Peter. His character plays the "I'm way past my prime, out of shape, and look like I smell bad, but hot girls still like me because I'm approachable and have a carefree demeanor" guy. In other words, totally unrealistic. Plus the guy who plays him can't act.

 

it's renewed/ i imagine that it'll go on regardless if there is an nfl strike..

 

FYI, Paul Scheer (Andre) has a podcast called 'How Did This Get Made' and has Jason Mantzoukas (Rafi) as one of the regulars.

They basically question and make fun of horrible movies. The last one they reviewed was Battlefield Earth I think.
