Hell YEAH YAO cost us yet ANOTHER season. And this is a very valid thread. Yao has been injury prone since the DeKe days. So when DeKe left, why didnt we find a suitable back up for YAO in all this time? Why has this issue been neglected and not resolved even today? This is where Morey pisses me off - he gambles against YAO's declining body. I bet if YAO were to return next season Morey would make the same mistake again. He will say "well we have YAO back so we are going to rely on him for the 5 spot and not worry about getting a back-up just in case he gets injured again". Morey will again bet on YAO staying healthy for remainder of the season.
Might as well say Ralph Sampson cost us the season. I mean, if he hadn't gone and gotten old, we could have stuck him in and never missed a beat.
