I blame the things Adelman could control. The lack of identity, inconsistency and defensive intensity for 70% of the season.

You guys can be very pessimistic. All it takes is the Rockets winning on a day the Grizzlies lose and all of a sudden they will be within 1/2 a game of the 8th spot.

It all comes down to whether NO, MEM or HOU falter at the end and the way the Rockets are playing I like their chances.

Like that Denver team that's loaded with all-stars?

Wait, so even though our rotations are smoother and we are playing 10x better basketball after the trades....we might end up NOT catching the Grizzlies BECAUSE we traded Battier to them.

Jesus, it's like people refuse to believe the idea that just because Thabeet isn't receiving any PT that this trade couldn't have benefited our team at all. As if, the only things that matter in a trade are which team got the players who get the most PT.

Just a thought, but maybe increased minutes for Budinger and Lee, coupled with just better chemistry on the court may have something to do with our success....

    ....just maybe, possibly?

So you think the Rockets are underachieving? How many wins did you have them pegged for before the season started (I'm not expecting a response)?

Yes, they did have 2 more all-stars than the Rockets before the trade, when they were 7 games over .500. Post-deadline, the Rockets actually have a better winning percentage than Denver.

there is around 10 games this season we should have won but due to 4th quarter choke jobs we lost. without going back through each game its hard to remember them all but these are the ones i do remember which cost us the playoffs.

the overtime loss to San antonio where Lee missed free throws.

the 2 losses to phoenix were both choke jobs.

the loss at home to portland was a bad choke job.

away at washington when Yao got hurt was an awful loss.

the 76ers at home was bad.

tyhe first game of the season against the Lakers, we got scared when were winning and choked.

    i'm sure there are more.

i love this team and i'm not hating, i'm just stating the facts - we should have won these games.

That's right that was another shocker. all teams will lose games they should win, we just lose more of them.

I am sure if Lowry not Brooks closed a lot of those games we would have won them but hindsight is a great thing.

    All hindsight.

If not for the 0-5 start to the season
If not for the 0-5 start to the new year
If not for early losses to WAS, CHA, TOR
If not for the loss to Minnesota
If not for the "Brad Miller game"
    If not for crappy officiating
If not for this loss or that loss
If not for this choke job or that choke job
If not for this injury or that injury
If not for this or that

    Coulda, shoulda, woulda

All the more reason to keep building. These so called assets need to start turning into something. Either Morey needs to actually trade them for something or they need to develop past asset ability and into actual stars. Dwayne Wade was the difference between winning and losing. Every phantom call and late bucket they needed from their superstar they got.
