watched the second half of the game tonight. i shook my head when Rose hit that 3rd clutch shot. dude is a monster
The free throws help his efficiency, and help his team win. Last 10 games (not even counting today's game when he was obviously terrific), his TS% was .551 and he's also kept his turnover rate very low. That combines for a very good offensive efficiency.
no he wasn't. if you're a true rocket fan, you knew that that was a team effort during the 22 game winning streak. remember the laker game that gave us that 22nd win of that streak? tmac was terrible in that game and we still won. mcgrady got most of the credit and MVP love (he was #2 at the peak of that winning streak) b/c he was the best player on the team - similar to how rose is getting his MVP love now. but tmac averaged 22-23pg with 6 dimes on 44% during that streak. good stats, but not MVP-level stats. another note about MVPs: MVPs don't regress after the all-star break, which rose has done. like i said, tonight was his FOURTH "great/superstar" game.
bulls' D and rebound the past 10 games 87.3ppg (on the season they give up 91ppg) opp fg% 42.5% (season 42.9%) opp 3pt% 31.7% (season 32.6%) +5.65 rebounds so their defense and rebound during that stretch has even been BETTER than their season averages. now that's RIDICULOUSLY dominant. not just "very good"
I meant to say 06-07. The defensive oriented JVG team that lost Yao for half a season. And the big time lebron fan just questioned whether I am a "true rocket fan", how ironic. I would argue with you concerning the leader of the 22 game win streak, but I'm just going to say one bad game against the Lakers doesn't discredit the many great games he had that kept the streak alive. And for on the same matter, is Steve Nash not the leader of the phoenix suns team during his MVP years?
the suns never played any defense. and they had the best offense and nash was their best offensive player. so yes, he was their leader. the bulls have an average offense and the best defense/rebounding team. in 06-07, tmac averaged 24.6ppg, 5.3rpg, 6.5apg on 43.1%fg, 33.1%3pt with 51.5%TS -> very similar stats to rose. and we all know that was tmac on the decline. man what he could have been?
And you claimed Steve Nash was an undeserving MVP did you not? Also, you didn't answer my question. Was Mcgrady not the clear leader of the 06-07 Rockets under JVG? The team that lost Yao during the season? McGrady was far from the best defender on that team.
in his last 10 games, he has had these types of agmes the bulls still won: grizz: 6-22 fg nj: 8-23fg wiz: 8-21fg hawks: 9-24fg hornets: 8-21fg jazz: 7-17fg that's 6 of the last 10 games, and they won all 6.
grizz: 6-22 fg, 12-13 ft, 7 reb, 7 ast nj: 8-23 fg, 5-6 ft, 4 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk wiz: 8-21 fg, 5-5 ft, 4 reb, 7 ast, 2 stl hawks: 9-24 fg, 14-15 ft, 6 reb, 5 ast hornets: 8-21 fg, 4 reb, 9 ast, 1 st, 2 blk jazz: 7-17fg, 5 3s, 7-8 ft, 4 ast
This is the worst cherry picking stats to justify your dead arguments. Do you do that to Kmart's stats too, just take away the free throws
Good job. I thought people were going to let lebron_6 cherry pick stats to make to support flimsy assertions. Ask Tony Allen and Marc Gasol who they think the MVP is.

lol 30 pts 17 assist rose will be mvp u mad t_mac1? yea u mad <a href="http://photobucket.com/images/feels%20good%20man" target="_blank"><img src="http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj69/ext0ph3r/1248321368395.jpg" border="0" alt="Feels Good Man Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a>
you added those in, and if you SAW those games, still not MVP performances. like i said, i have watched EVERY bulls game since the all-star break. and i have counted FOUR MVP-worth performances. tonight was one of them. FOUR. yea i'm kinda mad. a 40% shooter since the all-star break is going to win the MVP??? it's like the MVP doesn't mean much anymore and you basically just give it to the best player on the best team. the standard for MVP-worthy performances isn't even high anymore. we should have "some" standard for individual performance too. that should factor into the award somewhat no? 40% shooting since the all-star break is what the eventual MVP will produce? seriously?
from tonights game: PER: 38.87 Game Score: 32.50 (insane) TS%: 67.32% ORTG: 131.58 more than twice as many assists as missed shots. 8.5:1 assist to TO ratio and his jump shot was off. lmao.
first of all, if kevin martin shoots 40%, nobody is going to care if he makes a lot of fts. rockets fans would tear him up to pieces. but he shoots 44% for a jumpshooter, which is pretty damn good since kobe shoots 45% and durant 46%. kevin martin's fg% is considered a pretty damn good one considering the competition at his position. so that's a terrible comparison. the fact that kevin martin is a jumpshooter and he shoots the same % as a guy who drives to the rack a ton like rose is something that supports my argument. you're basically talking about a guy who drives to the rim like 65-70% of the time and he's shooting a sub 44%.
