Babyface Gordon Hayward

I thought it was a garbage pick when Utah made it. But after seeing him pay, i think it was solid. This kid has a bright future especially in mormanland. They will embrace him like the second coming of jeff hornacek. I still think Patterson was the biggest steal in the draft followed by landry fields.

 

In hindsight the Rockets should have drafted Larry Sanders.

 

Hayward looks like crap to me. Tries to drive but he's too slow.

He does have a sterling 8.92 PER though.

this must be a joke. budinger is a lot better than hayward. more composed, a stronger rebounder, a better shooter, better finisher, ball-handler, etc.

you have to look at more than highlights to evaluate a player. watch the actual utah games and look at how often haywards makes the wrong decision (when david west was lying on the floor screaming, the jazz were playing 5v4 and it ended with hayward wide open on the right baseline. instead of taking an open 5 ft shot, he tried to drive and force a pass that was deflected out) or how bad he is attacking the rim (he stays too vertical on his drives and thus doesnt gather himself well before going to the rim and loses his balance a lot).

i havent seen enough of him to evaluate his defense (not sure anyone has since he barely plays) but david thorpe seems to think that he's awful.

anyone can look good based on a highlight reel but you must not know basketball if you actually watch him play and think that he's a better player than bud.

 

Bud has the better shot though and he has until his injury was playing great D.

 

Gordon Hayworth=Joe Alexander V2 which equlas CRAP. Same goes for Luke Babitt. They both got picked way too high.

 

that was pretty good. the scalabrine inbound pass at 2:40 was already pretty funny, but in the context of a white players suck video, it's such a great capper because it just looks like he has no clue and it playing basketball for the first time ever.


also, heyward's going to need to get his PER into double digits (after the decimal doesn't count) before he's called better than budinger. and he certainly doesn't have budinger's hops.

 

No he doesn't. Hayward is shooting like 42% from 3.

Another useless moron is Luke Walton. If that guy wasnt Bill Waltons son then he would be a nobody. Wait till his contract expires, he wont find another one.

 

In his contract season, Luke Walton was a "glue guy" for the Lakers and played OK. Ever since, he's fallen off a cliff. Seems like I've heard that story before.
