I went in, waited about 20 minutes for the lady that I spoke with, then was told she couldn't order it for me. I said....so you drug me over here from Stafford (which was actually bs), on my lunch break, had me stand around for 20 minutes and had me tell my friends about this, only to say...."sorry"? She basically said, yup. I told her, that's not right....you should give me the 32GB for the 16GB price, and she said she couldn't do that. So I left. After I got back to work I called the store and asked for a manager. I told him I had just had an unpleasant experience in his store and asked if he had someone I could call to report it (basically just trying to scare him into helping me). He said I should talk to him and asked me what happened. He actually remembered seeing me in the store. He checked the stores in the area and said they were all sold out. He said he was going to keep trying, so he took my number. I figured I was going to push the 32GB idea if he said there was nothing he could do. Well he called me back about 20 minutes later and said he found one in Port Arthur and was going to have it shipped over to the store, it won't be any later than Monday. I can't say I have it in my hands yet, but things are looking good. If only they knew who they were messing with....that was $.50 of gas I wasted driving over there! You damn well better give me what I want! Pugs
All sold out in Dallas...some people were cool about it, some were douches.. They have the 32GB available though...not sure about the $399 Edit: Just got off the phone with the Burleson, tx store...they didnt' have any but i asked him to check another store, which none of the others did and he found a store in Mesquite/Cedar Hill...I ask him to hold it, but then I said let me pay for it...I was put on hold and waiting as we speak...crossing fingers
Fwiw, employees have been offered the 16gb for $250 the past 2 weeks, but were sold out within hours, I kept hope that they'd restock, but never did, so I settled for a Galaxy Tab for $100 :grin:
Get me 1 for $100 Part deaux: none of the stores had it then Garland had one...gave them my credit card and its mine...well, I'll believe it when I pick it up...woohoo!!
ha, limit 1 tablet for employee I was really going to get the iPad for $250 since technically, I got the Galaxy Tab, but had to do 1 year contract, so in the end I pay $220 for it with the data service. congrats on finding one

Was able to pick one up Friday and I'm so f'n happy...I think part of it was the chase, but also, being persistent...I love a good deal... My friend tried to convice me to get the Ipad2, but there's a $200 difference and I'm too cheap...I did swing by a BestBuy to check it out and man, they are hard selling all the warranty's, other programs...First the lady who rings it up, then a manager came by and grilled this dude into getting it..all things included, it was anther $275...that's just crazy and can't see how people do that...
They have been great to work with when getting new cell phones. They take care of all rebates so there is nothing to send in. They take care of transferring all contact and other phone information. They put on the screen protector and offer it, a case and charger at a discounted price. With other items, they have never failed to price match and they also provide the freebies if offered within 30 days. For example, a number of years ago, we bought a TV and a week later it was $200 less and they were including a DVD player. We went back, got the $200 and DVD player. Recently we bought an HDTV and a week later they had it on sale for $250 less and were offering a sound bar. Again, we went and had no trouble getting the new deal.
Do you work for Best Buy? lol... I've had trouble in the past and recently they have been better...no problem with returns and they have been price matching so much better...
